Bummer, but hopefully nothing serious. The good news is that if the virus 'reveals' itself on your task bar, it probably isn't too serious. (bad spyware, etc) From what I understand, most of the serious virusii go undetected and just corrupt/re-write system files.

True viruses are pretty rare these days; worms are more common. I agree that this sounds more like spyware, though.

Hey guys!

I think it was a bit of a false alarm this time around. Apparently it was something to do with a new auto-update of one of my anti-virus programs detecting a few viruses we had quarantined with a different anti-virus program but not deleted...or something like that.

Still better safe than sorry.

Anyway, we should be good to go later tonight (although I didn't get anything new done this afternoon because I had to go out and then later get the virus thing checked over).

I think I said don't worry about Chapter 3 because it wasn't finished yet - no point editing half-finished portfolios. I mean it would be illogical wouldn't it. Anyway, no harm done either way I suppose.

Hey guys!

Listen I am just going to update next week (Sunday 10th).

I had some problems tonight with viruses (somehow the computer crash last night must have let something onto the machine while my anti-virus programs were in mid-process of nuking it), although the viruses were sidelined (and were not able to interfere with the running of the computer) I'm amazed they managed to get onto the computer at all.

Thankfully all sorted now. But I want a few days to make sure everything is okay. I don't want to say I'll update tomorrow and then something could happen tomorrow. So I may as well just skip this update or at least wait another 48 hours.

No problem. I can focus on chapter four for now if that's what works best. I do want to mention though that the quicker you can get the (relatively final) draft of the Appendix to me, the better that'll be. Stat blocks are the most difficult thing to edit, so the more time I have to work on that before the final release, the quicker everything'll go.
