I don't have anything to increase AC at the moment, rings of protection went to melee.

You need to add 1d6 to that critica hit assuming it is steel sword. It doesn't bypass DR, but it does extra damage against Akos.

Oh, okay.

Extra damage vs Akos: 1D6 = [4] = 4

So that is a total of 12 damage combined. Eight points is negated by DR, and one point by your buckler (right?). That would be 3 points of damage to Akos.

EDIT: Did you dismiss the grease spell as a move action? Did you see that I'm willing to let you (and anyone else, including the bad guys) dismiss spells as a move action for this combat only?

BTW, @JustinCase, the Brelish Thugs are considered Loyalists, so +2 to your damage roll against them too.

@ScottDeWar_jr has chosen to have Vinccenzo cast the spell Dolorous Blow (SC p. 70) on Lil' Vinny and then move 5-ft. to block the front door leading out the shop, which is wide open (it opens outward). It lasts 1 minute/level, so for Vinny that is 6 minutes.

For the duration of the spell, the weapon's threat range is doubled, and its critical threats automatically confirm, so every threat is a critical hit. The latter effect does not apply to any weapon that already has a magical effect related to critical hits.

Multiple effects that increase a weapon's threat range (such as this spell and the Improved Critical feat) don't stack. You can't cast this spell on a natural weapon, such as a claw.
