Which is a meaningless term unless you know Forgotten Realms mythology. And also false in other DnD worlds.

Which is never stated in DnD at all.

Which is also never stated in DnD at all, and ignores the fact that some DnD worlds attribute primal magic to divine beings, nature gods.

So yes, you can make crap up about how magic works. We know this. This is accepted fact. Except funnily enough, they never bother to explain it. Not in the level of detail you are insisting we provide for the martials to justify them. Well, specifically the fighter and the rogue, because the monk and barbarian are already good to go with power sources.
Notice that a 1st level charm person works the exact same way has the exact same mechanism if granted by a god. Given as a pact studied in a book made of music or from nature or arcane science. It’s just charm person.

Especially given its description, the Charmed condition seems like something that high DC Persuasion check should do. Then the various methods of spells would be various ways to gain proficiency, expertise, advantage, or substitute a different ability for this check − but even these spells still need to make an Ability (Persuasion) Check.

Likewise the Intimidation skill can induce the Frightened condition.

When I think about Intimidation, the same capabilities to appear tough and scary, are the same capabilities that can appear strong and confident in order to boost Morale. Thus one can actually use the Intimidation skill to end the Frightened condition in an ally, or even to restore hit points to allies via Morale. These might be surprising uses of Intimidation, but are sensical given what the concept of Intimidation assumes.

We need a UA survey that suggests about three well thought out and appealing explanations for Fighter superhuman abilities. Then see which ones are the most popular.

Also provide an option for those players who prefer to end the game at level 8, before many superhuman powers are accessible.

See where gamers at-large are at.

Sounds like you are advocating for one all-encompassing magic user class. After all, there is no difference between a bard, cleric, druid, warlock, wizard and sorcerer's magic, so make them all one class.

Inb4 "don't add any of this" blows out the competition.

Sounds to me like you are twisting what I say to be rude and adversarial for no reason

Both thing I wish the game had. Ways to fast talk the charm condition and menace into frightened.
