Need rogue help

I'm currently a 5th lv rogue. I died in a recent game and the party stupidly used a wish spell to bring me back instead of paying someone. As a result of poor phrasing my character has been cursed so that he doesnt trust anyone.

This includes:
My character won't let anyone stand less then 40ft behind him.
Won't sleep near the party.
And the worst part is that I can't attack any enemy that is in base to base with a fellow party member is in base to base with.
Also the poor phrasing resulted in no one remembering anything ever happened so knowbody knows that I have been cursed not even me.

This now makes it a pain to sneak attack because my DM has outlawed bluffing in combat.

I currently have 2 wep fighting and wep finess as my feats.

What suggestions do u guys suggest for combat so I can sneak attack and stay useful.
I would like some advice on how I should start playing this rogue because my whole character concept has changed.

Kill yourself and start another character who looks suspiciously similar to the one who just died?

I mean, there's adding fun wrinkles to a wish, and then there's saying 'No fun for you'!

are you sure you haven't been with your DMs woman... and that he doesn't know about it?

i can't explain it otherwise....

That sounds like it going to be a giant pain in the a.. .
I'd have a sit down with the DM. The game is supposed to be fun for all.

Maybe allow a quest to find a high level mage to remove the curse. (Sidequest could fit into his game)

Act stupidly in combat, die, and re-res. (expensive in GP and EXP)

If I was Dm and got into this kind of mess, I would allow the character to eventually 'grow out' of these social shortcomings. (i.e. drop them as he levels)

If he does'nt bend a little, I'd look for another game.
Hard to say with as little facts in your post, but there is potential rat-bastard in the air.

For those who asked I will try to get a copy of the wish. And I suspect that the main reason for this is that he is sick and tiered of me one shooting every enemy he gives us. For example we spent 3 months on a quest only for me to run up to the big boss and deal over 40 damage to him and kill him without a fight

So you're being punished for Playing Rogue well, using it's most basic class ability? Sounds like your DM needs to step up his own game to keep up with something incredibly simple, instead of redesigning your Rouge to be unable to Sneak Attack.

That is what I feel too. The main issue is that with the exception of me and him everyone else is fairly new to the game and don't know how to play there characters to that kind of lv. Also he is a new DM and is trying to be a good DM and live up to his dads great legacy.

Now back to working on my problem. I have been thinking and looking at what he said and the only loop whole I can find is that if I had some sort of animal to fight with me. He said that I have no issues with animals unless they are a party members animal companion. So is there any good way to get an animal without taking Druid or Ranger levels?

It costs a feat, but there's Animal Cohort.
And of course, if you can find (or be?) a trainer, there's the possibility of simply getting a trained animal-- an attack dog, for instance.
