I hate to hear that our friend is running on fumes. Out of curiosity, what would a suitable replacement computer run cost-wise?

Hey guys! :)

Okay, I'm back! :D

...for now at least. :uhoh:

I'll get back to answering posts and emails shortly, as well as explaining what happened.

I see you have also broke the news about the print version being imminent...thats the tip of the iceberg though. ;)

Whoa! Great to see you back so fast, U_K! And apparently bearing good news as well! I can't wait to hear what the rest of the proverbial iceberg is! :D

Hiya mate! :)

Its a stop-gap measure. I got an old graphics card from a friend, but I will still need to get another card on ebay. This one is pretty loud. Okay for a hour or two here and there but not something I want when I spend ten hours at a time listening to.

Basically my graphics card died on Friday and my motherboard needs AGP x2 speed, which means no new graphic card will do. So I either had the option of updating the whole system (borderline financially feasible) or try and get an old card on ebay.

Well I'll keep that under wraps for now but expect a quick turnover from pdfs to print in future. Lets just say I am really glad I stuck with Mongoose.

Oh U_K and your allusions of grandeur. (Yes, allusions) Lemme guess - You have secured some sort of deal with Mongoose that means your stuff will hit the presses much faster. (IE their new presses can handle more of a load than originally expected, or some of their other authors pulled out, moving your work to a higher priority.)

But whatever it is, it sounds good. :)

Good to hear you are back on track too. :)

Hey WarDragon dude! :)

Here's something that occurred to me while contemplating the history of my avatar character...

Fire away! :)

When an immortal's manifestation is destroyed away from his home plane, he rejuvenates. But, is that process akin to resurrection (his old body reforming and healing), or is the immortal's soul/spirit creating an entirely new manifestation from scratch?

Its creating a new manifestation from scratch.

Thats why when you kill an immortal (outside their home plane) they lose all items except artifacts (which are part of the immortal and tus return with the spirit).

You mention in passing that a rejuvenated manifestation doesn't have to look the same as it did before, but is that merely skin deep, or can gods change their manifestations' statistics as part of the rejuvenation process? If they can change them mechanically, does the process have a cost in xp or quintessence? How deep does it go; can they just change feats and skills, or could they become an entirely different class?

Interesting question.

They can change their physical appearance (and thus Str, Dex, Con could be redistributed) but not their mental attributes. Nor could they change their class levels.

Fire away historian matey! :)

Regarding Table 4-4, "Fluid vs. Static Bonus," the "Alternately" column has a double for Cosmic abilities and an infinite for Omnific abilities. Would the doubling apply for both static and fluid bonuses, both, or neither?

Wow, good question. I'll have to think about it.

My initial answer would be that it applies to both, but with static bonuses it only applies to a base number, whereas with a fluid bonus it applies to all modifiers.

What multiplier would you ascribe to Divine and Transcendent abilities?

Divine wouldn't have a multiplier. Transcendental I always thought x10 or an incremental x2, x3, x4, x5 etc. increasing each round.
