New magic item: Price ?

[maybe this should go in the DM's stuff. I'm not sure]

I need an advice for this magical item:
Gauntlet of fire:
Wonderous item
A melee weapon held by this gauntlet gets the Flaming ability (does +1d6 fire damage on a successful hit) (unless the weapon already had this power)

The main problem is for the cost: the cost for Flaming is "bonus +1" and a +1 enhancement costs 2.000gp.
But I think the item should cost more because a flaming weapon cost at least 6.000gp more than it's non-flaming version.
Still I don't think it should cost so much because it's another magical item slot spent and so it's worse than having the weapon flaming by itself.

A use activated item that does Burning hands for the same average damage (3,5) is between 2 (5 if save failed 2,5 if made) and 3 (7,5 if made, 3,75 if failed). the price for a 3rd caster level burning hands is 6000 gp.

So I would say 6000 gp

Is it correct ? Or it's too cheap ? What should the price be to make it balanced ?

Thanks

Well...

The Helm of Brilliance allows you to make a weapon into a flaming weapon. It uses Flame Blade as a prerequisite spell, which seems appropriate :)

So if we call this a Command-Activated Spell Effect, then we have SL 2 x CL 3 x 1,800, or 10,200. Use-Activated would be 12,000.

It should probably be worth more than 6,000 - because if you have a +1 Sword, then yes, it's 6,000 to make it a +1 Flaming Sword. But if you have a +2 Sword, it costs 10,000 to make it a +2 Flaming Sword. 14,000 for +3. And so on.

12,000 feels reasonable, I think. It's something of a bargain for people with +6 swords, but you get that sometimes :)
