Oeric's negative energy takes its toll (23+2-4 Ref save). He takes 28 acid and it sticks to his skin.

Oeric heals to 2 hp and starts round 299.
 

(p.s. I think the Styx dragon should be able to see that there is a web underneath him laid all the way back during Cecillia's reign of terror).

Oeric blasts back at Sticky Styxy with a breath of sonic power, then rushes into the sky before collapsing from the acid's second round of damage...

(OOC: Or at least I assume he'll take 14 points and go under, giving NG's next combatant a turn.)
 


Round 299: Sticky can't dodge (25 Ref save) and takes 71, surviving the massive damage.

He has 193 hp left.

Gansk[sblock]Would Sticky know that Oeric is about to die? I have wondered about the following, but have never gotten around to asking. Is there some sort of scoreboard in the arena that the combatants can see that lists the HP of each combatant? Either way, the answer to that question should be made public.

If Sticky knows that Oeric is about to die, Sticky will move to 100N75E and ready a stinking cloud that will appear where the next opponent appears. The opponent will be in the center, if possible, but Sticky will not be in the cloud at all, although Sticky will be next to the cloud if the cloud has to be off-center from the opponent.

Otherwise, Sticky will move to 100N75E and put a deeper darkness centered at 100N75E.[/sblock]
 

Since Sticky doesn't know Oeric's exact hp and isn't exactly sure if Oeric will die or not, he moves to 100N75E and casts a deeper darkness with 100N75E as the center.

Oeric takes 14 acid damage and dies.

The deeper darkness is dispelled (24 CL check).

Next for NG in round 299: an ocean giant. (MM II)

OOC: Bummer. I don't have access to MMII today, and may not until Tuesday night. I can guess at most of what's probable (huge-tall size, 15 ft reach, big melee ability, rock throwing), but if someone can email or spoiler-post any relevant SLAs, SQs, SAs, then I'll try to hum along until then.
 

Your guesses are correct. The ocean giant has no SLAs or supernatural abilities, except for the ability to have either legs for on land or a tail for in the water. The giant can enter the arena in either form, and it is a standard action to change form. It has the cold subtype, and is immune to blunt weapons. It has extra ranged weapon feats. If is in the water form, it can attack with its tail in addition to three attacks with its trident.

In my opinion, the ocean giant is one of the most over-CRed creatures anywhere, if not the most. I had to moderate one for Lawful Good.
 

Otto appears at 100n60e and sticks his trident under Sticky and tries to flip him over onto his back.

(i.e. tport in and try trip attack)
