[OOC] Quickleaf's Rime of the Frostmaiden [closed but waitlist is available]

@Neurotic I think you have to post in order for us to continue. Do what you think is best. If you use poison, though, your character will have to keep that to himself.

Edit: I should have read your post closer, I'll post IC

Yeah, Lumrolur doesn't use poison, because he hasn't any :) but he would - in any case, he wouldn't try and kill the dogs, they're not ones that need killing.

We're a bit stuck. Unless someone posts anything definitive in the next 12-24 hours (depends if I'll get time in the evening) I'll move forward with half-orc impersonation. No one came up with any better ideas.

The trace at the sabotage site...it would be tentative at best, but we can use it, sure. @Quickleaf was there anyone with white hair/beard at the caravan?

The actions:
  • Lumrolur will shapechange and do something to someone :)
  • if/when the chaos starts, either because guards come or something else, he'll try to sabotage the sleds
  • NPC help: Alma might do something to help, either with the same half-orc to sow confusion or with Tarrga
  • Jack might put the guards to sleep and free the dogs? Maybe?

Hey Guys,

Sorry about MIA. I wasn't getting the post notifications for some reason. So Aric can shapeshift into a dog, and smell the hair and see what that leads to. That could also be used in the plan, and have Aric somehow talk to the dogs and convince them to strike. But the timing would need to be tight. Aric is out of spells, so 10 minute ritual cast, then shapeshift into a dog, then sniff hair, then convince dogs.

Long rest first would be cool though, but I'll defer to the rest of you,
Cheers,

SG

Why not convince the dogs to run away if we free them. Convince them to play hide and seek or convince them we have yummy food or something. We are trying to delay them for a day so we get a long rest.

I like this idea. Even better if we actually give them tasty treats, this way they’ll likely be more open to other requests in the future.

Hey guys,

So I was thinking, the discussion with the sled dogs doesn't need to happen while Aric is in dog form. I think we'll need a diversion so Aric can approach the sled, maybe have Jack do some illusions or something, to give Aric a bonus on his check, and then, if/once the sled dogs agree to strike (or flee, or hide, we need to decide), then Aric can turn into a dog and go sniffing.

Do y'all have any additional thoughts?
Cheers,

SG

FYI, Oskar made something for Aric in his various forms so we can communicate with you. It's a WIP. I might have to add "distraction" to the list of words:
