Huh. Pear is right. Short Swords and Short Bows are standard Skeletal fare. So the Mordguard must be proficient in them. That and Medium Armour is probably the best you can do. I can't quite imagine Rapiers and Longbows, I'm afraid.

But is the Mordguard skeletons?
He stabs a newly fallen body and it rises as a… zombie? Or did the meat of the body stay on the ground and the bones stood up? Just wondering…
But I guess the can have the stat of a skeleton but look like a zombie. DM’s fiat!

I guess you weren't there for that...

Yes, the flesh falls of the bone and the skeleton stands up. It's vile. Sesto might let Mord get away with his nice clean masked undead servants, but he might object if he ever sees Mord use the dagger to make one...

It's not as iconic as a dwarf with an axe, but it is somewhat standard fantasy fare, the skeleton archer... Last night after posting I was trying to imagine in my mind a skeleton with a crossbow and ... it seemed awkward.

If we face undead and Sesto has to turn them... poof goes the mordguard?

Mord will do his best to keep them away from Sesto in the event of a turning. But he won't exactly cry if they do get turned. He isn't sentimental or anything. To him, it's just another form of rebellion and a utilitarian tool for him to give himself a bit of extra protection.

Also, Sesto has seen the dagger in action already and he'll recognize it on sight.

Oh was Sesto there for any of that? Then it's something he'd be aware of, even if he doesn't approve. Hey, I don't approve of all of my friends choices IRL. I think I could put up with even more if it were a matter of saving lives.
