Yup. Spirit Guardians is a strong spell. And with the Warcaster feat Sesto has advantage on Concentration saves.
I don't think Sesto has any 2nd lvl spell slots left (I need to check) else he could cast Spiritual Weapon and really dish out some damage.

Spirit Guardian is freakishly good, it's the cleric's "fireball-powered" spell.

Re initiative: Whatever works best for you as a GM I'm happy with. It's not easy even in IRL games, so I don't think we'll *ever* have a perfect system in PHB.

Okay, now I feel useless. Figured we'd have found some sort of magic weapon before now. Bob can't even attack the flail, can he?

Squirrels are evil!

Fradak, I don't think your rapier will do anything nor will the sneak attack. The flaming sphere and booming blade will, however, be effective.

Sesto will probably run away 30 feet to get away from the flail since Silakul can only move it 20 feet. This should not be considered meta-gaming since Sesto can cast a similar spell and should know its limitations.
Question: does the flail have reaction? Will Sesto provoke opportunity of attack? My gut feeling is 'no'.

Nope, but you can disengage from the golem, and it will probably chase you (and get boomed) and go kill that $%@!, Silakul!

There are a few magic weapons in the dungeon (Aquaria has one of them, and there are more) but you haven't gone there yet.

You are correct. (And not metagaming)
