Race Elimination Round 1!

In the spirit of that class elimination thread (loved it, tho I'm still rooting for the sorcerer), I've decided to discover which D&D race is the greatest of them all! Who can decide? ENworld it must be!


RULES: pick the race you want to get rid of this round. Most votes goes on. In the event of a tie, keep track of total votes each round.

EDIT (proposed; should be fine): The first few eliminations we'll get rid of the 5 with the most votes. The list is too long to go one-by-one, for me at any rate.


REQUEST: can I get someone to help me double-check? Many hands and light work.

You don't realize there are that many freakin' races until you see them listed like that.

As a long time elf-hater, I have to confess that I actually like what 4e has done with elves, especially with the fey eladrin.

I hope to see all the emo races go first... you know who you are.

I wish the MM races were excluded from this poll, since people are not likely to have as strong opinions about the MM races, as they do for the supported races.

I voted (yes, OP, sue me; but don't let this change your vote!) that the Revenant should go. Why? Frankly, they were great until the design team gave them bird-like "scales" on their hands and feet. Basically I get to play an undead assassin with chicken feet? Boo-urns!


However, I like the Kenku. Possibly mechanically useless compared to halflings, but I just like 'em. I blame Downer comics for this, btw.


And yeah, seeing them is one thing. Typing them, then having to re-type them when the server misplaces your post, that's the killer! 35!
I admit to having a couple races that I'd like to submit to WOTC, tho. Would be fun, I'm just saying...

Wow, I had my vote all set, then I saw the COMPLETE list. Revenants must (re-)die! So much hate to go before I get to the fairies.

I am annoyed by redundant races. Shadar-Kai and revenants, for example, both take up the "gloomy death race" slot.

Also minotaurs. I want the old big monster minotaurs, not tauren.

I agree. I think races should at least have and article in Dragon to be included.

Bullywug... because I haven't even heard of the bloody thing. I've heard a mention of just about every other race, but the the Bullywug sounds silly, and I know nothing to tell me they aren't.
