On a scale of 1-10. EDIT: where 1 is the worst and 10 is the best.

Just a simple, non-scientific poll.

Of course, if you have more nuanced opinions, that's what the thread is for!

EDIT: Also, I made sure you can change your vote, for the wishy washy among us.

The longer I thought about it, the lower the score was going, so I dropped it at 5/10 where 10/10 is best in class, and 1/10 is unplayable trash.

Oh, and as I was thinking about it, I was bringing in everything from the corporate aspect, Wizards, multiple factors beyond just the 'game'.
I went with 5 as well. It's... fine, I guess, but also not fine in places. And after I finish my current campaign I won't be running it again (and it is probably my last 5E campaign overall).

I gave it a 5. Considering it's just some tweaks for 5e it didn't really move the needle for me and most of my players. Similar to 3.5. It's great that they made some adjustments but I felt the cost more than I felt the improvements/tweaks.

I think it's too soon to tell for me. I'm shifting our 2014 Radiant Citadel game to 2024 on the fly, but it's not super-impactful yet, as it's happening piecemeal as people level up, as I switch which version of the monsters I use (which D&D Beyond doesn't do by default), etc. I'm sure there are revised rules we haven't implemented yet, but will some day. (I haven't had a chance to read the new core books cover to cover. It's been a crazy year.)

8

It's fine as it is, gets brought up to a 10 by my own homebrewing and custom GM style.

8 because it "feels" incomplete. It's missing a few things that DO exist in 2014e, which I can still easily use, but I want upgrades to them. Monsters of the Multiverse, Xanathar's Guide and Tasha's Cauldron. Quick NPC sidekicks. More Humanoid NPC stat blocks (to cover broader CR range). Stuff like that.
