Well, I'll hopefully have a job real soon, but as long as I'm not at work I'm cool with whenever.

On another note, does anyone want to volunteer to host? I prolly could, though our place isn't huge. But we have a pug (see? Her pic is my avatar!)

I live in an apartment. There's no way to get even the people who have posted so far to all fit.

We could crash Great Escape Games, over on Howe. :D They have a gaming room.

Far North Cali

Well unfortunetly I live a little to far out of casual distance from you guys down there (As I am in Redding) Though if any of you all ever head this way I would love to have a game day ( Redding is decidedly void of gaming stores)

Hey Jester, I meant to ask you this on some random thread before but it slipped my mind: what's up with "prolly?" You're the only person outside my circle of friends I've ever heard say that (part of the infinitely weird slang devised in Berkeley, like saying something is sweat instead of sweet). One guy mistyped it so often on AIM we started to use "prolyl" too. Is it just a messageboard thing or do you actually say it that way? Seems like more than a coincidence since we're both in Sac.

I'm not Jester, but I'd like to chime in on this.

It's quite common actually.

Weird how identical expressions develop independently of each other.

Great Escape is over by the theatres right (forget if it's UA or Century)? In the same little complex as some Mongolian BBQ and a Chinese place IIRC, but I havn't been over there since I played M:tG 4-5 years ago.

Yes, Great Escape Games is right near Howe 'bout Arden. An easy place to find, and right off of Hwy 80, and easily gotten to by going Hwy 50, as well.

If before New Year's, I vote for the 30th.
I wonder how Jan 2nd would work for everybody.
It's perhaps a day that is open for many people.
Eh, actually, maybe Jan 4th or 5th would be better (Sat or Sun).

It's AFTER the crazy holiday season, and maybe people will be interested in gaming.

BTW: What type of things are done at these get-togethers (other than the fun of introductions, etc)?
If we want any gaming going on, we'd best arrange exactly what people are interested in (what system, what level of play, what character gen process, etc).
Oh - and who's the DM ;)

Hey, I grew up in Reddin.

My condolences on living there.... :D

Hm, it started as a message board thing- and I don't always even use it then, if I'm writing my story hour or want to make a point without being open to intellectual ridicule :D I usually write "probably" out. But it's seeped into my speech a little now.

It's just a little shortcut I made up, kinda like "unca" for "uncle" or something similar.

and gary - your sig is truly getting frightening. ;)

And Redding had a good gaming store up until a year or so ago, didn't they?
I stopped by whenever I had to teach up there (nice guy that ran the shop).

Tsunami - you think you could make it up here if it goes?
That'd be cool - how far of drive is that for you?
