Yes, Great Escape Games is right near Howe 'bout Arden. An easy place to find, and right off of Hwy 80, and easily gotten to by going Hwy 50, as well.

If before New Year's, I vote for the 30th.
I wonder how Jan 2nd would work for everybody.
It's perhaps a day that is open for many people.
Eh, actually, maybe Jan 4th or 5th would be better (Sat or Sun).

It's AFTER the crazy holiday season, and maybe people will be interested in gaming.

BTW: What type of things are done at these get-togethers (other than the fun of introductions, etc)?
If we want any gaming going on, we'd best arrange exactly what people are interested in (what system, what level of play, what character gen process, etc).
Oh - and who's the DM ;)

The 2nd works best for me. I'm not exactly sure what goes on at these either, but I think a one-shot and a chance to meet an' greet is a good plan. As for rules, I suggest "standard" D&D, since that's probably what got everyone on these boards in the first place. For the rest... very good questions!! :)

and gary - your sig is truly getting frightening. ;)

I know, I know. I plan coming up with solution to that little problem in the next couple days. :)

In the meantime, I'm trying to be careful about only using it when my post is longer than my sig, and only once per thread.

Unfortunetly all gaming stores in Redding have gone the way of the dinosaur though a friend has talked about starting one downtown. Jester I was born here and unless something seriously cool happens in my life I will die here too.

This would be in Sacremento, right? Let's see, that's about... an hour and 15 minutes away from here.

Sacramento, indeed. Two reasons: 1) It was my idea ;), and 2) it's a central location for No Cal.

1:15 isn't too bad...

Lifelong Sacramento native here! Sounds like a get together would be real fun. Any Saturday would be cool, during early January would be best.

I live in Turlock, maybe 2 hours away. Close enough for me! Problem is, I work for the US Pissant Service and generally only have Sundays available. So, the 29th (my birthday!) or the 5th are my days. The only other day I have available soon is Thursday, the 9th.

I would love to play in a one-shot. I DM almost exclusively, so some play time would be nice.

My holiday schedule is pretty frenetic, but as a Sacramentan I will bump this and check back once you guys have a date/time/location set.

Heh... I lived there from 1980 til about 7 years ago, so I figure I've earned the right to poke fun at it. I have to admit that there's a ton of beautiful places around there, but the social environment just didn't suit me... not to mention the fact that every day from May to October it's between 100 and 115 every day... :(

How old are you, if you don't mind my asking? Maybe we've met! I went to HS in Anderson and graduated in '88. Heck, what's your name?
