Bummer about the Sunday thing, bing. Well, keep your eye on the thread, on the off-chance the date changes.

As for Great Escape vs. Viking Hobby or A-1 Comics, I couldn't really comment. I've only been living here since July, and GE is the only FLGS I've gone to, since it's only a couple miles from me. I do think GE is pretty good, though.

Both Viking Hobby and A-1 Comics are not 'roleplaying' stores, per se.
Viking specializes in miniatures/models, and A-1 specializes in ... you guessed it : comics.

Great Escape Games, especially since they expanded their store to include a boatload of area to game in, is kind of the Sacramento store that is probably a leader in the RPG front.
