I haven't spoken up until now, but I should be available to fill in a spot if there's still room. I am up for any weekend date in January or February that is not 1/18 or 2/22.

I live here in Pittsburg, but I've been meaning to check out the Sacramento gaming scene. I just found out I passed the CA bar and may end up working there soon.

If we get enough folk, there might be two games. Plus, football fans may drop out to give you a spot. Just keep checking the thread for developments.

And congrats on passing the bar!! :)

Both Viking Hobby and A-1 Comics are not 'roleplaying' stores, per se.
Viking specializes in miniatures/models, and A-1 specializes in ... you guessed it : comics.

Great Escape Games, especially since they expanded their store to include a boatload of area to game in, is kind of the Sacramento store that is probably a leader in the RPG front.

Gah not only a whiner, but a Great Escape Gamer. Bah Viking is a better store and far friendlier people. Great Escape wastes the room they have and has little punks behind the register....

Thanks for the kind words. I am still putting the finishing touches on my bar exam/legal inspired adventure. Now, if I can just decide how best to publish it...

Valen,

Congrats on passing the Bar. :D

How are the games going at Warmasters these days?

JDragon

Unfortunately, I was forced to take a few month hiatus. I was injured during (of all things) an improv comedy performance in October and was on crutches for the longest time. I've been going to physical therapy in the hopes of avoiding surgery in my right knee (I tore my ACL). I don't know what hurt worse, the knee or waiting for the aforementioned bar results. Hopefully, the worst of both are behind me.

I'll be starting my game up again next week actually. One player has moved out of the country, but from what I gather the rest are anxious to get back into the swing of things. You're more than welcome to swing on by sometime JDragon and lend a sword or an axe.

Start hijack-

Sorry to hear about the Knee, never fun.

Thanks for the offer, but I got more games than I know what to do with right now.

End hijack

BTW hope you can make it up to the Game Day.

Well, OK - I've been turning my cheek up to now, but since you obviously like having a row, I'll oblige.
(and maybe a little invective will be fun for the readers...)

What is your problem, Regdork?

Is it impossible for you to post out of character?
Oh - wait - don't tell me this monosyllabic dullard act is actually YOUR personality?

If so, that's pathetic.

About Great Escape - did you read anything in my post that was promoting any agenda, or expressing any preferences whatsoever?
If so, I'd recommend reading my post again, but this time without filling it in with the voices in your head.

I quickly posted what each store specializes in over the others, to try to help people who haven't been to them.

Yes, Viking is a better store (for miniatures and models), and they have much better staff.
But you want to try holding a game in that shoe-closet of a store?

I don't play at Great Escape, in fact I drop by maybe twice a year.
They actually specialize in Warhammer, but they arguably have the largest gaming area to play in of any store in (probably) Northern CA (from Sac up to the Oregon border).

If you want to show up if there's a game, I'd be glad to meet you and prove to myself that there's no way a person could be THAT stupid in real life, and that your blow-hard online persona is all an act.

Hope to see you there, jerk.

Oy vey... Reapersaurus, Regdar, if you want to make this into a petty arguement, take it to another thread, but let's keep this on track
