Wow. I live in Sacramento, and I'm impressed that anyone is doing anything here. Has anyone talked to Great Escape's owner? The thing I would be concerned with, as their gaming room is the biggest around, that there seems to usually be people in it already on Sundays. (Bring air freshener, seriously.) Plus I think they close early-ish on Sunday. Otherwise, I will prolly stop by, just to peek in. Will there be any other sort of gaming going on? Like say, Heroclix or similar?

About Great Escape - did you read anything in my post that was promoting any agenda, or expressing any preferences whatsoever?
If so, I'd recommend reading my post again, but this time without filling it in with the voices in your head.

I quickly posted what each store specializes in over the others, to try to help people who haven't been to them.

Yes, Viking is a better store (for miniatures and models), and they have much better staff.
But you want to try holding a game in that shoe-closet of a store?

I don't play at Great Escape, in fact I drop by maybe twice a year.
They actually specialize in Warhammer, but they arguably have the largest gaming area to play in of any store in (probably) Northern CA (from Sac up to the Oregon border).

If you want to show up if there's a game, I'd be glad to meet you and prove to myself that there's no way a person could be THAT stupid in real life, and that your blow-hard online persona is all an act.

You pushed the store, in you're message and you're continue to spout off with facts, backed by probably's. You wouldn't want Regdar to show to the game, because what would happen would ruin it for everyone involved, especailly you.

BTW folks, they have games coming up for that weekend, so you may double check. Regdar will apologise to the others of the thread.. not Reaper but the others.

Just read about the various gatherings on the news page, and since I'm in Chico, I'm sorta interested, depending on the game.

Has anyone contacted Great Escape at all to reserve table space? The do have a URL: http://www.greatescapegames.com , but it is out of date a little (Nov 2002). It would be a pity for people to show up and no table available.
