This was reported on SciFi wire but only as an idea or talks nothing yet decided so I wonder if something changed.

It does fit with everything from all the shows, dream stuff with Faith.

Well, considering that it's unattributed, third-hand information ("according to reports"), we ought to view it with a little skepticism. If it were a real change, they'd be able to quote a producer directly.

[edit: Note how it says that they don't know when Gellar will leave the series? While everyone expects that to be at the end of this season, it hasn't been made official. If it isn't even official that Gellar is leaving, how can it be official that Dushku will take over? ]

That sure is interesting. I'm wondering when/if we'll get a confirmation from Joss. I think it's a solid move if it's true.

I would hope the show's name will change to "Faith The Slayer" then becuase it would seem odd to keep calling it "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" when there is no Buffy.

I'm not really sure I like the idea of continuing the series with Faith in Sunnydale. It would be cool to have her in a different city & with different supporting characters.

I'm sure the show will take a different turn if they focus on Faith. It would be boring to just try and replace Buffy like nothing happened. I imagine there will be trust issues, redemption issues and the like going on if Faith is the focus. And as for the title, I don't really care what they call it as long as it is entertaining.

Personally I'm still rooting for a 'Ripper' series.

Buffy has already fallen below the top 100 mark in ratings. I would be surprised if it even had a chance at renewal at all.

If it was on a major network I'd agree, but it's on UPN. It'll be around next season if Joss wants it to be.
