Star Wars Iconic Characters: Interlude...

Following Arani's lead, Rorworr's relationships with, and opinions of, the rest of the party. This is just my impression, and I'll change things if needed, to better suit other people's ideas of their characters.

Sia-Lan: Sia is a bit... energetic, even for Rory, but she shows a vitality and impulsiveness that he feels is lacking in many of the older, more established Jedi. He likes her, but doesn't really know her all that well.

Set: A nice enough chap, but rather gloomy. Would benefit from getting out doors more and eating better food. Still, handy to have with you in a fight.

Dorn: Nice lad, with a some common sense. Rory tries not to tease Arani to much over her obvious awkwardness around Dorn ;)

Kelko: A firm friend of Rory's. Someone you can really talk hyperdrives with. And someone who's willing to take them apart :)

Sen: Rory has a lot of time for Sen. He's stable and reliable, with a calm and friendly manner that puts the Wookie at ease. Set is Rory's picture of the Jedi ideal.

Arani: Arani is the member of the group Rory's known the longest. He's very fond of the young noble, and he does his best to keep an eye out for her. Which, to his mind, is just as well, given some of the scrapes he's had to get her out of... He's inclined to tease her, but they both know its just in fun.

Deel: Never really sure what to make of Deel, Rory tends to treat him with some caution. While he quite likes the Twi'lek, he feels he's a bad influence on Arani, and seems to know rather too many shady characters for the Wookie's comfort.

Kaz Lo: While having only just met him, Rory has quite a degree of respect for his technical skills. The
Pathfinder's computer will talk to him in a civil tone, something Rorworr has yet to persuade it to do.

Vor'en: He hasn't met him yet...

Valara: Rorworr feels some kinship with Valara, liking both her open and honest ways, and her respect for nature. On the other hand, she does get on his nerves at times, especially with her literal interpretation to the Jedi code. He's doing his best to teach her Shyriiwook, although her lessons have often been interrupted by EmTee and Rory having arguments over the droid's interpretation of some of the more... robust words and phrases in the Wookie language.

There's the sound of something electrical sparking, and Rorworr slides out from under the control panel, fur smoking slightly.

"I swear, this ship's got it in for me. Dorn, pass me the mallet, would you?"

Now better armed, the Wookie returns to work, the sound of hammering echoing through the Pathfinder.

I will take my lead from my furred companion, and my fashion consultant :p

Despite our earlier unpleasantness I see Arani as a friend and my guide to all things technical. I trust her to steer me right among the more... ah civilized places of the Galaxy

I see Set as very dangerous... He isn't a very good Jedi. He gives in to his anger, and he is volatile. I am keeping my eye on him, he isn't very jedi-like by what I see as a Jedi. I think he is attractive, and am pleased by his strength, his ahem, lack of nature skills is off-putting, though I do think he is really cute, I might have to do something about that, he is definitely worthy of my attention

I see Dorn in a more positive light then I see Set, although he doesn't exactly conform, he doesn't seem to get angry. I do like that he is physically capable

I see Rorworr as a kindred spirit, of all of my companions his experience and familiarity with the wild is most similair to my own. I truly respect his physical abilities. His abilities expand into technology as does Arani, he saved my life, and is deserving of gratitude

Vor'en and Deel I don't know

I think kelko is weak and has yet to prove himself and therefore deserving of contempt. But Arani and Sia wouldn't accept my contempt of their friend so I will reserve judgement

Sia is my closest friend aboard the ship. She is physically strong, can use the force, and is friendly enough to help me out. I see that she and I are both strong women, confident, and worthy of respect.

OOC: I like that... Weak... For taking a blaster bolt in the gut.

"Always complaining, aren't you?" Kelko chides Set. "You asked for a remote, I work my magic and put something together for you, and then you blame me! I don't think I'll ever understand you guys. Yes, everything's my fault. It always is, you know. But I bet Sia-Lan could've blocked that shot." This last he mumbles as he slides back under the ship, and momentarily the sound of a whirring hydrospanner can be heard.

OOC: Sure, everyone hate on the green guy. I can't get no respect. ;)

OOC:
Well I got shot too ;) besides, the only times I really ever saw him much was lying out unconscious, soo not the confidence booster for me. now if the boy had gooten injured by saving someone else and not for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, then I would at least think better of him.

About this time, Kaz comes down holding a collection of misshapen parts in one hand and a dissected blaster pistol in the other.

"Hey folks, just thought I'd let you know then computer's been shut off for awhile until it can learn to be a little more friendly to people. Deel spoiled it so now it's gotten onry. Gotta teach it who's boss, y'know?

"Anyway, I reckon the closest station with a bay we can put her in is a good ten 'er fifteen parsecs thataway," he points in a random direction, "and if we're lucky there might be a merchant there who can help with our...erm...cargo. That oughta pay for some of the other repairs we need. Or maybe Deel can foot the bill. I can't seem to remember if she's insured."

Kaz scratches the base of one of his horns, deep in thought for a moment.

Dorn hands his wookie friend the mallet, and smiles.

"Going to beat it into submission, huh? Good luck."

Once Rorworr disappears back into the depths of the ship, Dorn
hears Sia's good natured jibes at Set and walks over to join his fellow Jedi. He arrives just in time to see Set get zapped in the posterior by the drone. Dorn crosses his arms and grins as Set curses the droid and Kelko's workmanship while Sia supresses her laughter.

"Ouch. That always stings more in front of an audience. At least Valara didn't see it. I think I've done enough to tarnish her image of us Jedi for one day."

Smiling at the other Jedi, [Sia] shook her head. "You need to relax a bit, Set. Have a good humor or two. It'll do you and your lightsaber exhibition alot of good if you can manage to crack a smile on that dour expression."

Dorn's grin expands and he almost winks at Sia.

"Set cracking smiles? I think I'd get worried if that started happening."

"I don't think you know what you've gotten yourself into there, Kaz. Let me know how it turns out."

Dorn smiles at his friends and turns to go. He glances back at Sia and pauses, noticing the fruit she is obviously enjoying.

"Hey, where did you find that? It looks tasty and the rest of the food around this place leaves a lot to be desired."

Sia rolled her eyes and laughed. "Oh yes...you're such a bad influence on us all, Dorn, you rebel you. Yoda rues the day you became a Jedi."

"Well, it might ruin that oh so macho image he's got going, but it would make me happy to see something else for once. Although that might just be enough for Set to resist yet." Her auburn brows knitted together in a serious expression, but that blue eyes could never hide their mischieviousness.

Sia-Lan merely smiled.

"You mean this piece of fruit?" Sia-Lan waved it in front of Dorn's face, close enough so that he could smell its succulent flesh before snatching it away and taking a nice generous bite out of it. "Hmm, why should I tell you? You being such a bad influence and all. I think only good little padwans like me are allowed fruit."

Valara deposits the extra vest that Sia-Lan had given her in her quarters, throwing it on top of the empty chest of drawers, one that would normally be filled with all manner of personal effects. Valara fortunately or unfortunately as the case may be had very few possessions, possessions she took care of lovingly.

A staff that Aeson had carved for her from one of the few hardwoods native to their planet, A sling that she had cut herself from the same weyrry that had provided her clothes, some oil to keep the sling and clothes supple, and the blaster and knife she had taken from the pirates. To that she added the light blue vest Sia had given her. Looking donw on the sum total of her life she grinned, not wealthy by Galactic standards, she was very wealthy by the standards of her small community.

She looped the pistols belt around her slim waist over her vest, and tied off the leather thongs at the bottom around her her thigh, giving her a roguish appearance. Sia, Set, and Dorn all wear their lightsabers here, I shall do as they, though I wish this were a saber as well. Not that I have earned one, perhaps Sia will help me learn their use so that when I am presented to the Jedi they will accept. sighing from a feeling of longing Valara makes her way out f the Pathfinder 3. Hearing the hum of a saber, the girl rushes around the ship to watch the antics of the young jedi.

"May I try next?" she asks eagerly watching the remote move around and Set's attempts to protect his prosterior. I only hope I can be half so graceful as Set. she thinks grinning appreciatively at his technique.
