Star Wars Iconic Characters: Interlude...

My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you...

Sia-Lan's eyes opened wide, filled with cerulean flashes of instant gratification. "Don't keep us in suspense, KDY (Katie)! Show us what Langley taught you." Glancing at Kaz Lo, she gave him a dopey grin. "I love what you've done with the place, Kaz mi'dear! Maybe you can work the same magic on Set?" Then she laughed. "But I think perhaps Valara might be better suited, no?"

Turning her attention back to the ship, she asks sweetly. "Do you like fruit, KDY? Know any fruit songs?"

"Hey Sen...where do you think she found that fruit? Blast, it looks tasty! I need to find some before we leave, or she's just going to tease me with her personal stockpile for the entire trip. Maybe Arani knows where Sia found it. I'll have to ask her."

"Ah I have never had a great deal of taste for such, but I am sure Sia would tell you if she asked. What is it that make is so appealing?" Sen will ask somewhat innocently.

Dorn frowns slightly and absently rubs the back of his head.

"By the way, you don't think Master Yoda really rues the day I became a Jedi, do you? I mean, I know Sia was just teasing...but still, Master Yoda used to give me this look sometimes..."

"I am sure that had Master Yoda had any misgiving about you or any of us, he would have turned us away long ago. Trust in yourself and in the Force and you will be a great Jedi someday I am sure of it. I am sure she was only teasing, although at times I do not understand her humor as well as I might. Sia is on her way also to being a great master one day, but I think she just wants to pretend that it is no big deal. I worry about Set, but we each must follow our own path..."

Sen will then go and watch Valara and Set. He is curious to see how Valara will do as she is strong with the Force. He also is hopeful that Set will not be to... "aggressive" in this training. He will not say anything unless needed and mostly watch, nodding his head now and again.

Valara allows herself to be led through the motions by Set, his arms around her own, leading her, steadying her. She tries to follow his suggestions, but it'll take more then one session. underscored or so it would seem by her tripping and taking the head-strong Jedi with her tumbling to the deck plating still intertwined with her.

"My apologies Set, that was not good enough." she said trying to disentangle the two of them and get to her feet while avoiding the Saber as it rolled along the ground. sighing she uses the force to float it towards her, catching it she flicks it off and hands it butt first to Set. "I will do better next time." she says wiping her brow with the back of her arm, a faint glistening of sweat from the training apparent on her grinning face.

"Thank you for the effort Master Harth." Valara says gratefully as she goes off to find Sia and Rory whom she finds in one of the ships compartments.

"It did not go so well Sia, I think it will take much more eff..." she trails off as she notices the ship is acting differently. It hasn't belittled her or anyone the entire time she was there. "Is the ship broken, it was not this pleasant before?" she asks Kaz sounding slightly worried about it.

Sen watches Valara walking off, and shakes his head slightly. To Dorn he says "She must not give up so easily... she already has much strength in the Force, but I wonder if she might not be to old be being training as a Jedi..." his words trail off as Sen is lost in his own thoughts.

Climbing back to his feet Set takes back his jedi weapon, his eyes seem to have some trouble staying on Valara's face as he's a bit embarrassed at the tumble they took together.

"Ah.. erm, That's alright Val. It always hardest when your just starting out." Set's words trail off as she hurringly turns away.

Set's confused stare follows Valara's retreating back, Then he starts as he realizes which part of her anatomy had drawn his gaze.

"Ultimately it's not for us to decide, Sen. The Council and Master Yoda will determine her fate. That should be good enough for us."

Seeing everyone move to board the ship Set follows suit after calling the training remote to his hand and switching it off.

Set sees Valara and Sia wispering together in the corridor and a slight frown mars his features. Unfortuneately his abilty to sense them through the Force was not well developed and Set was troubled greatly.

"Oh no, be quiet, Val!" Sia-Lan shushed her friend, sticking what was left of her fruit rather unceremoniously in the adept's mouth. Her other hand, she held palm forward at Set as he entered the ship as if to will him into being quiet. "KDY was about to sing! And that was a quick little training session there, you're losing your touch, Set?...but that's conversation for another time...shush...singing!"

Then she patiently waits for the ship to sing her the song.

"Very true friend Set, I simply was thinking outloud which I should not have." Sen will watch everyone head into the ship but will remain outside... deep in thought.

Valara's eye's widen as her mouth does as well, though the eyes at least were voluntary. She attempts to pry Sia's fruit from her mouth, her cheeks are still flushed from the embaressment of the lightsaber training.

I can not believe I was so graceless, I actually tripped Set as well. How could I be so weak? How could I fall in front of Set? And thento make matters worse I ran from him like a scared child. I am better then this, I should be better than this, the force user berates herself. I came in here to talk to Sia about it, she does know Set, even if she does tend to tease. She would know what to do. But she is engaged with this kdy, does she mean the ship? she wonders as she thoughfully takes a bite from the fruit that Sia had 'given' her.

She glanced back at Set and blushed again at her failure lowering her eyes.

Rory pats Kelko on the shoulder comfortingly.

"Nice to know it's not just me who feels the ship's out to get them." He grins. "Now, let's fix the airlock, and you cheer up, OK? No one could take your place, you're the best pilot amongst us by some way."

Walking into the doorway, Rorworr looks up in surprise at the ship's voice. "What in the name of the Force did you do to it, Kaz? It's not insulted me yet!"

The Wookie unscrews the cover for the airlock door, and examines the wiring closely, tongue sticking out the corner of his mouth as he concentrates.

|...It's called "Daisy"...| the computer announces monotonously, and then begins its serenade with a complete lack of emotion,
|...Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do.
I'm half crazy all for the love of you.
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage.
But you'll look sweet
Upon the seat
Of a bicycle built for two...|
