They seem to move a lot more like frogs... I dunno.

IN a couple scenes the heads do look a bit froggy, I can see that.

But the animation is much closer to the original comics than they were able to get with the live action movie or tried to get in the cartoon.

I just hope they keep it more like the comics and push the limits of a PG-13 rating, since we know they will not go R to show them really killing stuff like ninjas.

Dude, we're talking about six-foot tall talking turtles with swords (and stuff). I'm sure it won't be goofy at all.

Ok, point taken.

I just meant that there was a big difference between the darker Turtles of the original indy comics, and the "Cowabunga" Turtles of the earlier cartoons and movies. I hope this new movie is more like the former than the latter.

There was some news reported on aint-it-cool-news from San Diego comic-con that, in the veign of superman returns, is more of a sequel/reboot of the first and second live action movies. I seem to remember* the first move being very much like comic, so that is a good thing.

*Last time I watched the movie was a very, very long time ago though.

Is this a CG animated film? I would have preferred it to be a mix of CG and live action. Though I gotta admit the turtles look very well done, and much more amphibious in nature than their puppet egos in the old movies.

And I must agree with what Crusader X pointed out, the original black and white Turtles comics was not goofy. Though it occasionally did have it's moments of humor, the Turtles were a bunch of bloodthirsty shinobi with shells. :p That is, until their act was cleaned up for the Saturday Morning kiddie crowd.
