They're Bringing Evil Back. ( 3.5 DnD )

"Some places act as a lodestone. Attracting evil things of all sorts. From what I have heard of this Moathouse and its past, it is not a far leap to guess that they are indeed of a fell nature."

"I understand your apprehensiveness to investigate the ways of some clerics, as they are usually holy men. But no God of good would wish his children to worship from the moat house. That place was one of the stepping stones in the beginning evils." Erik seems to agree with Olster, this brings a smile to the old man's face.

( Just from his past knowledge of Hommlet, and any letters his son may have sent him.. Erik is fairly sure that they are clerics of the Elemental Eye. He thinks. )

"You are probably right then, but I still think we should be cautious. They could even be trying to purify the site. I think that we should not act with hostility until we know that they intend to do harm to us. Well, I have agreed to come, and since you all have as well, you may join me in my wagon. When shall we leave?" Yun turns to look at Vendan. "Er, unless you have any more objections."

Zoycitenega said:
Wait, Jayla says slowly, tuning to Olster. You've been to the temple before. What can you tell us about what we may encounter?

"Yes they probably did turn this Moathouse into a Temple. If these priests are who I think they are; Dark Devotees to the Evil Elemental Eye, then we can expect all manner of foul and twisted things. Elementals twisted and infused with fiendish power. Undead minions hungering for souls of the living. And Mad Zealots granted fell powers by thier Malevolent Master. In short the most vile and vicious of villains lay ahead. I for one do not wish to make them wait." Done with his proselytizing, Erik bows to Olster and heads for the door.

Once again Erik answered for Olster, but it was nice for the old man. He smiled appreciatively at the priest. He reminded him of Erik's son. "You are more than welcome to spend the night. I can't give you rooms for free, as much as I would like.. I do have a business to run. But, I can give you a deal. Talk with Maridosen about rooms if you would like to stay."

Yun shrugs. "If waiting until the morning will make us better prepared to deal with the challenge that may await us then I have no objections. Thank you for your hospitality, but are you certain that you wish us to discuss this with Miss Maridosen? She seems to dislike me, and I do not wish to make her uncomfortable."

"I'm ready when you all are. Sleeping is good, not sleeping is good, it makes no difference to me." Serin just does whatever the majority of us does.
