"Uh, well, wait for me! I shall go as well." He runs after the old Cleric, and goes down stairs looking for Maridosen and hoping that by his presence he may somehow control the agrivation caused to her.

"Eh? Let's see how this goes then," Vendan says, heading out the door. He's ready to pay for his own room, but he goes to speak with Maridosen anyway, to see what else he can learn of Hommlet from her.

Nairb groans when the talk of spending the night at the Welcome Wench start. He says "I'll come with you, don't worry I won't say anything unless I really feel like it."

Jayla nods and goes down to speak with Maridosen, taking the discount offered.

"Good luck adventurers!" Olster calls after the group, not bothering to muster the strength to get up from his chair. The gang makes their way down the stairs into the main room of the Welcome Wench. Vesta is tending to customers at tables, the bard continues to entertain from the corner - the women still swooning over him, and Maridosen is once again behind the bar. She seems to be in a detailed conversation with a customer that tinges on the shady side. Their heads are together and by their body lanuage seem to be discussing something particuarly important. When the group approaches she rightens and immediately departs from the man that has taken a casual lean against the counter. She doesn't inquire what you may want, but lingers as if expecting some sort of demand from any of you in the group. If looked at the man offers a crooked grin and a bob of his head. Though his garb hints at a less than 'clean' job, you notice that he is well groomed. His blonde hair is kept short and his face clean-shaven. "Evening.." He sizes the group up.. "Good ole Olster finally found a group to do his biddin', eh?"

 

[Dire Lemming]

Yun turns to look at the man, having to concentrait hard to understant him over his accent. "Do you know something of this? He has said that he had not spoken to anyone else about it."

OOC: is there any chance Serin would have been able to "listen" to the conversation between the guy and Meridosen? If so, can you work it in?

Vendan sits down at the bar, barely acknowledging the man. But when Yun speaks to him, Vendan turns his head and joins in. "Ah, yes. But this fine gentleman looks like he has a knack for finding out things that have not been spoken of. It's a useful skill, to be sure. Now I bet you know quite a few things about all of this, don't you? Oh yes, without a doubt, you know far more about this whole thing than we do. I'm Vendan, and this is Yun. What is your take on all of this?"


Getting Maridosen's attention...

"Miss, you're Maridosen, right? Olster said you could give deals on rooms for me and my friends. Anyway I've heard stories about you. Yeah, that's right, you're famous. Best bartender in the area, working in the best bar. Well not exactly the best bartender, but I hear you have a lot of untapped potential. By that I mean you've got a lot of room for... professional development. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? Living, learning, laughing, you know the three L's. Oh wait, I think love is supposed to be in there, isn't it? Whatever, maybe it should be four L's. So what's the latest news in town? And by the way, how did you end up tending bar here?"

"About the moathouse? I was just out there a few weeks ago, I told Gundigoot this. Maybe he should clean the hair out of his ears." The man chuckles and then continues. "There's nothing there. Nothing more than a broken down old building. I wouldn't waste my time if I was you guys." Maridosen just stares blankly at Vendan, then outs her hand out. "Rooms are half price. Two coin a night." The questions and comments the wizard made are pretty much completely ignored. "I have a face for bar tending." She smirks. Was that an attempt at kidding?

( Serin can only catch a few words here and there as he approaches. More or less he can make out the words on Maridosen and the man's lips. The words you catch are: Olster.. moat house.. hiring a group.

P.S. I've no idea what the character's name is right now, as I've left the module at home. Heh. )
