ooc: Remember it´s about noon. Artea spoke about "tonight", so you may want to wait a while and maybe do other things before.

ooc: Most of stealth is patience. Banion's perfectly willing to secrete himself in a hidey hole and do nothing but watch, even if it will take most of the day.

Thinking about it more, though, he's not sure he should have invited the dwarf! ;)

Is there anything else you two want to do prior to the meeting? We don't really have much information, and I think our employers have demonstrated that they aren't willing to take precautions based on mere suspicion.

After watching the dock workers unload the ship for a little while, Beamer is convinced there is nothing unusual going on.

Seeing Banion's signal, Beamer casts a quick messagespell making slight gestures to Banion and Draig. They hears, "Yes Banion, what is it? I've worked out this spell so we can communicate across distances. It should last a little while, though I'm not sure how long."

Banion mentions getting on the roof. Beamer replies, "Watch out for the sentry in the tower. It looks like they are mostly looking out to sea, but might look down. I'd like to look around a little more down here to make sure I've got the layout figured out."

Beamer walks back behind the warehouses to check out the neighborhood. Are there any windows in the warehouse?

OOC: Spells remaining: 0th: 5, 1st: 7, 2nd: 4
Edit: I don't have anything specific in mind for Beamer to do while waiting for nightfall. He just didn't want to be on the roof all day long. If there is no more information to be found by wandering around, I'm happy with fast forwarding. I can't think of anything else to do in the mean time.

ooc: I´ll have a minimum of information about what are you going to do in the meantime, even if it´s just to be there, or if you plan to go somewhere and eat, visit someone, etc.

"I'll keep a look out. You never know what might happen... if a new ship comes in, they might all rush to it. I don't want to miss an opening by not being watchfull. If I can, I'm going to sneak into that warehouse."

Given that they ate well last night, Beamer is happy to nibble on some rations for lunch. Beamer waits for about a half hour, observing and avoiding notice, and then asks Banion through the message spell if it is safe to climb (+0 modifier) up. He'll wait the rest of the afternoon on the roof. If the activity dies down sufficiently before night fall, Beamer asks Banion to determine if there are any guards on the warehouse. If at least one of them could get into the warehouse before the meeting starts, that would be a good thing.

You´re quite lucky on this one, at least for the first hours you spend hiding. The trio manage to successfully climb on top of one of the buildings; it´s a rooftop made of wood and rough stone that, judging by the sound that comes from the access to it, an open hatch, belongs to a fismonger´s shop. The building is two stories tall, making it slightly taller than most of the surrounding edifices; many of them has some activity also going on on the rooftops, like clothes being dried, or even small vegetable gardens being attended. You can´t help being noticed from people on other rooftops, but since you´re not bothered at all, apparently you´re mistaken for children or simply thought you are not strangers at all.

That changes a couple hours before sunset. Banion notices that on top of one of the towers mentioned before there are now two figures. It´s too far away to catch the details, but definitely this one isn´t scanning the sea, but the city, and you´re pretty sure you´ve ben spotted.

Beamer swears under his breath. He glances around looking for a legitimate reason to be on the roof. If he finds one, he pretends to be doing whatever makes sense. If not, he suggests to the others, "Maybe we should climb off the roof as if we finished whatever we were doing. If there's trouble, I'll use a scroll to summon a fog cloud around us." He reaches into the side pouch of his pack and grabs a scroll of obscuring mist.

OOC: If Beamer had observed them being too obviously noticed by the other people on the roofs, he would have probably either tried finding a better hiding place off the roof, or tried to figure out a good looking reason for them to be on the roof all day. I also thought they might have a way of hiding from the men in the towers. But I don't like to pick up the cards I've played, so I'm ok moving along from here. People make mistakes, and I think Beamer, Banion, and Draig just made one. Let's see how they get out of it. :)

"You two climb down and walk away calmly. I'll leave with more haste, which should draw any pursuit. I'll hide, ditch the pursuit, and catch up with you in a bit."

How high in feet is the roof of a two story building? 16'? 20'?

I'm going to remember to take 10 this time! :)
