How do you figure?
Any data for this situation I create myself will be of inferior quality, I hate to say it, but it is true.

Furthermore, I don't even own the books myself at this point in time (I have been told to wait). So I would have to source the raw numbers from someone else to begin with.

No problem. I can do the math. I’m more interested in the tactics and build options being utilized that allow you to say that so confidently.

But I will not watch a full video just to find that. If you want to time stamp me the relevant part then sure.

Prove it.
Rangers get Archery style and feats to boost their damage. Plus initiative.
Warlocks don't have any of that. Just a little better spell slots.

But then Ranger run out of feats, and don't really get another boost till 17. While Warlock gets more attacks and better slots. And they also get advantage at 17 (Foresight).

So what’s the archer in question doing? Just hunters mark, GWM and attacking?

And the occasional Hail of Thorns or Lightning Arrow.

Ranger starts out as one of the strongest in range damage. But just doesn't scale very well.

Vs the warlock who gets inspiring leader, fear, suggestion, Cloud of Daggers and fly. Any of which may be more impactful, but are not direct single target damage.

The only thing I see for personal Warlock damage is darkness + Devils Sight, but that only seems worth it if you can get it off before combat or dip for Quicken.

Or Spirit Shroud. But that's not exactly ranged.

This is a discussion thread about the video. If you want to participate in the discussion without having watched the video, I guess do what you like, but making people explain the contents of the video the thread is about… it’s like coming to class without having done your homework, and then using up class time asking people to summarize the reading for you.

Treantmonk's didn't do bladelock but the algorithm spat out this guy.
I've watched him before he's decent.
He's great. Well worth watching. Treantmonk also does bladelock I believe, just not in public video yet. But D4 Deep Dive worth watching and he's no more or less authoritative than Treantmonk
