Like, as a DM who doesn't want to deal with all the special effects liek knockdowns and pushes and shoves and whatever these weapons do, can I just out law them or will it weaken a class?
Of course it will weaken all the martial classes. Would that not be the point of such a house rule…?

You will weaken the classes a little.

So I would say toss in an extra +1 to their magic weapons to compensate. Should be about the same level.

The DM can obviously ban whatever they want, but as a player I'd be pretty annoyed at DM specifically targeting martials to nerf them, and would need to consider whether that's really a table I want to play at.

Do you also ban Open Hand Monks and Battlemaster Fighters? They've always been able to do similar abilities and I don't hear anyone complaining about how much that slows down combat

No, the point would making combat move faster and not having to deal with all that extra mess
There are quite a number of spells you probably want to ban too then.

Like Thunderwave (push), grease (prone), and fairy fire (advantage).

Might be easier to just list the ones you will allow.

Fighters didn’t neee then in 2014 Ed. But I get they’ve upgraded everything.

If the reason to remove masteries is to make things go faster, then that is nothing compared to casters and their spells. Removing them (or assuming they just cast Firebolt every turn) would do a lot more for speeding things along.

(that said, the Topple weapon property is obnoxious because they kept 'enemy rolls a save' on every hit, instead of doing something like 'enemy falls over if the attack roll was an odd value')

I mean, you could also speed up combat by removing any non-damage effects from spells. And while we’re at it, let’s remove all the different spells. Everyone just gets Eldritch Blast. We’ll have the fastest combats ever!

Man, a lot of people taking offense at a question and reason to ask it. Pardon me to heck and back.
WotC going out of their way to give more depth to Martial classes (instead of only giving complex gameplay to Casters) seems to generally be overwhelmingly popular. I don't see anyone here taking offense at your honest question, but you aren't going to get many people agreeing with any take that increasing gameplay depth for Martials is a bad thing

They are serious suggestions.

A Fighter with weapon mastery is still faster at combat than a Wizard.

Unless it's a fighter with Topple and an Evocation wizard. Then the wizard will be quicker.
