D&D (2024) REVISED Form-Fillable 2024 Character Sheet

Anyway, (for what it's worth) I really appreciate all the effort you are making to create all these sheets variants.

No problem. All in the quest for a more perfect character sheet LOL!

For me its the free-text boxes where we would potentially include either additional rules information in addition to the names, or which are ones that one might acquire a lot of stuff overtime. So my personal opinion would be on:

Class Features
Species Traits
Feats
Equipment
Valuables
Magical Items

The other remaining free-text boxes... Languages, Coins, and the box next to Weapons in Other Proficiencies... I don't know if they would ever acquire enough stuff where one would actually reach the bottom of the text box. So they might not need it, but perhaps someone else would say yes? In truth... I suppose including them as well is better safe than sorry if it's easy enough to do.

Here is an issue I am running into for single-line text boxes:

Here is the same sample text in the same size fields with different options.

The first uses a fixed-size font, with the text box scrolling if it overflows.
The second uses an auto-font, with no scrolling, so the font resizes to fit.
The last is also auto-font, but shows how much larger the font is by default when there is no overflow to make it shrink.

Ideally, I would be able to set a "max" font size, but "auto" the font to shrink if there is overflow, but that is not possible as far as I know with PDFs. So, if I could have the default look like the first option, but then strink like the second, that would be ideal IMO.

We are all beholden to whatever the PDF makers have programmed into their systems, so I appreciate your work even if it can't reach a "best case" situation as you'd prefer it just based on the program. Thank you regardless! Honestly, I know even for me I put so much stuff in these boxes that it would never remain at the big size anyway, so for me personally the auto-font as-is still works.

The shrinking text works like a charm! That rocks! Thank you!

The only potential edit/correction I can see is that on the second page in the Equipment, Valuables, and Magical Items boxes... the form fillable section boxes you have go slightly above the solid black line under each heading. Which means as you add more information (with the text getting smaller)... the top line of text eventually begins crossing over that black line. I presume it's because the smaller the text the less "header space" (for lack of a better term) that text has. So a larger font that might have say 8 points of space above the letters (and thus they appear directly under the black line)... drops to like 2 or 3 points on the smaller text, and suddenly that top row is getting "struck through" by that black dividing line.

Obviously there's a workaround (just hit a carriage return at the top line of the box such that you start typing on line 2 and now below the black dividing line)... but if it's easier to just shrink the form fillable box to not go above the black line at all... that might be all one would need.

Cool. I'll look into that issue and see what is up and try to fix it today.
