D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Legend
Enseth

Enseth knelt down and repaired Titus until he could safely leave him, and then stomped over to Tommi's positon, He immediately calculated that Tommi was in bad shape: Breathing shallow, Lung punctured. So he called for Drui to assist while shielding the young man with his well-armoured body.

The hobgoblin who had shot Tommi eyed the shiny construct and shook his head. It wasn't worth even trying to kill that thing. Instead, he climbed over the rail of the raiding boat, shoving aside huddled prisoners. He dug around a bit and found what he was looking for: A horn. He blew two loud toots, the pitch raising at the end. The signal that they had discovered a strong resistance. The third boat, with the goblins' strongest fighters, would come to his aid as he got the valuable prisoners loaded.

Janos ran down the bank. He grabbed a sword from a fallen goblin, and he chased the one that was running away from Dandin, so that it did not linger as it ran past Titus' fallen form. Janos' mate joined the other crewman in picking up the unconscious crewman and began to carry him back to the boat.

Archon Basileus

First Post
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Drui keeps seeking for wounded men, leaving the duel for the other combatants. Enseth's cry is a godsend, and as soon as he overhears it, he bolts towards Tommi, trying to stabilize him at arrival.

Legend
Drui & Lionel

Drui rushed to Enseth's side, dodging between two fleeing goblins who chose to let the dwarf go by, as they were now fully retreating for their boat. He dove to the ground and could tell that Tommi could not breathe. He began the method he was taught on how to reinflate the young man's deflated lung, with great success. Tommi coughed and wheezed and was still out, but at least he could breathe.

Across the bank, Tommi's friend Lionel was being dragged toward the raiding-boat. The goblin he had so bravely chased loaded the terrified woman into the boat, and the halfling would soon follow, unless Angis could do something about it.

GM: Angis is about 60 feet from Lionel now, but he does have a crossbow.

There is a moment of light, and the sound of coughing, but it's muffled, like it's happening underwater. Tommi feels the pain, for a second, before slipping back into unconsciousness. But he does feel the pain, and that means he's still alive.

Angis Honack

Evening
Round 6

Angis surged back to consciousness with a healthy stream of dwarven curses to make even a war cleric blush.

“I fockin’ ‘ate goblins!” the dwarven ranger growled, snatching up his crossbow. The battle had turned. They were driving off the goblins, but it wasn’t looking like they were going to save the prisoners.

“Fockin’ ‘ell!” Angis spat angrily, charging back into the fray as he saw the halfling Lionel being dragged onto the boat by a goblin. Realizing he wasn’t going to reach the goblin, Angis pulled up and lifted his crossbow, letting fly a deadly bolt. Unfortunately the bolt skipped off the edge of the boat and into the water.

Angis cursed violently. “Get the lad!” he yelled to the others.

Legend
Angis

Angis stomped across the stones, cursing all the way. He side-stepped an arrow sent by one of the fleeing goblins as it yelled "Bree-yark!" to it's companions. His own quarrel skidded off the side of the raiding boat, and he cursed again. He heard the remaining hobgoblin order in his terrible tongue, "Make ready to shove off as soon as the last prisoners are aboard." (He made no mention of the last few goblins).

Watching the goblin run, Dandin grinned to himself and dashed off after him heckling as he went.

"That's right! Run away! Afraid of a little Halfling are ya? Go piss yourself ya lousy runt!"

Then, looking forward at the sound of the horn, Dandin got a bad feeling. They needed to hurry or something bad was going to happen. "Angis! Shoot the big one! Maybe the little ones will run away! You can do it!"
