Ok, after last weeks mind blowing...this week was just "eh". Although Jack pulling the trigger was a cool moment. Poor Chase...

It's all getting a little confusing to me now...if Tony has been in charge of this little double/triple agent thing, what was the need for the Kyle Singer stuff? I figure it must have been a proving ground or something...

And next hour should be interesting...who do you figure is at the auction? Nina? Sherry? The girl who blew up the plane in season one and poisoned Palmer in season 2?

So much confusion...

That was my take on it as well. The only think I really found at all interesting was the interlude between Jack and Hector's girlfriend.

I was extremely disappointed by that, as I saw that scene coming almost exactly as it went down a week ago. I hate it when 24 does the predictable.

Yes, I think everyone could see the In the Line of Fire rip off coming with the Jack and Chase scene.

I definitely think you have to look at the Kyle has the virus moments as Tony and Jack going along so the overall plan could be implemented of getting Jack back under.

It's Nina next week if you believe the sages at AICN and we all know how they check, recheck, and check again their sources.

Well, the virus had to come from somewhere - there was a dead body. I think it'll crop up again, it was too important a thing just to be written off like that. I hope.

So, Silver Moon, do you get what's going on? Cuz I'm confused about the Kyle Singer thing and need someone to clear it up for me...I'm just lost.
I've found that "lost" is a good place to be when watching "24". If you overthink it the show loses some of its fun. Singer was obviously just a decoy, which worked almost perfectly (they didn't plan on Tony getting shot, as he had to keep all of the pieces in play).

Later Edit: One other thing I got a kick out of. I don't know if it was a national or local spot, but one the commercials inserted into this episode that focused on Mexican criminals was a tourism commercial promoting Mexico. ;)

As Silver Moon alluded to Kyle was a decoy so Jack could get Ramone out of jail. The virus is the whole point of this season (unless there's some other plot twist in that regard, but I really don't think so).

So Kyle was just a decoy to get Ramone out of jail, Ramone is just a ploy to get Jack in with the Salazars again so that he can use them to buy the virus from the Czech scientists and somewhere along the way CTU will come in an grab the virus to keep it from getting to any terrorists or hostile countries. Chase however has now screwed everything up by going rogue and not following orders and that's what all the interesting stuff should come out of from here on out, remember Jack's tracking device got broken so CTU won't know where they are.
