[Adventure] Rhapsody Part 2 (Judge: renau1g)

Hey wake up! Christina say moving over to Nyar. There are still badguys to blast with your magic! Using the ancient technique passed down by generations of druids, that of shaking one vigorously by the shoulders, Christina manages to rouse Nyar.

[sblock=Spirit Companion notes]
The spirit companion is treated as a conjuration with some exceptions.
  • It occupies 1 square like an ally does.
  • It is only affected by melee or ranged attacks (not close/area attacks or zones).
  • It is dispersed if it takes 12 or more damage from a single blow, and Christina takes 7 damage. It is otherwise unaffected by attacks. It uses Christina's defenses.
  • It cannot be flanked and it does not grant flanking.
  • The companion can move 6 squares whenever Christina takes a move action. It is not affected by difficult terrain.

Narvala ir'Sarhain, female human invoker 7 (Silver Flame)

Narvala faces the leader again. "You are correct, this is intolerable." She said. "I can not allow your abominations to stand." And another burst of divine energy enveloped the leader and one of the humans.

[sblock=actions]move: If Narvala does not have line of sight on the leader, move to nearest square where she would.
standard: Chains of Carceri centered on P10 (should hit leader, human 4) vs REF; if HIT, take 17 dmg and slowed UEoNT[/sblock]

OOC: [MENTION=360]drothgery[/MENTION], the Leader is 3 squares above Human 4. That power is only a close burst 1, so Narvala can target one or the other, but not both. Please let me know which foe you want to target.

OOC: Hmm (the power's an area burst, not a close burst, but same deal applies). I didn't realize that, or I would have had Narvala use a single-target power. I don't suppose I could switch it to purging flame, keep the attack roll, and target the leader with that instead?

OOC: No, sorry. No takebacks due to mistakes unless the action is totally illegal according to the rules. FourMonos made the mistake of allowing the Flaming Sphere to move too far and Luinnar made the mistake of targeting Cristina's close burst too high, so c'est la guerre. It wouldn't be fair to them if I made an exception for you. And yeah, I meant area burst 1. Like I said to Neurotic, I make these types of foobars all the time myself anymore. I view not allowing takebacks as the PCs are not omnipotent and make mistakes in judgement, just like we do. And speaking of mistakes, I just realized that the only square at P10 where the area burst can be centered is two (or more) squares up. Hence, the only legal target is the Leader from the location you specified, so I shouldn't have even asked you the question. ;)

Narvala kills the Leaders in a searing burst of red energy.

"Argggghhh." he cries as he dies. The rest of the humans look around nervously, but the zombie takes no notice and continues its attack.

"You might want to consider throwing down your weapons now." Narvala said, addressing the humans. It was possible they were only hired muscle, in which case Breland's justice might well let them live if they were sufficiently cooperative. The zombie would have to be destroyed, of course.

Yeah you think you can beat us adventurerers? Christina says. Give up now or we will pond you good and feed your to the bears! Pooh growls and licks his lips to back up her statement.

OOC: Not sure if you can roll skill checks out of turn, but if your can:

Baern comes down as fast as he can.

[sblock]Karinsdad, if Baern moves L10->K11->L12->M12 how much movement is that? I do 1 extra for going over the catwalk railing and is there a roll or penalty for moving from Green down to Yellow?

Moving from L10 to K11 is 2 movement, moving from K11 to L12 is 1 movement plus an Acrobatics 10 foot drop down to not take damage and be prone, and L12 to M12 is 1 movement.
