Does it seem odd to split who directs a two parter?

Part 1 was just okay, but I have high hopes for the follow-up. Hopefully we'll finally see a few 'temporal' loose ends tied up!

And unfortunately, we didn't to any real satisfaction. And what the heck were all those ships doing at Earth at the end? It looked cool, but...eh? I'm afraid the episode seemed rushed and it was a poor "ending" to the TCW. I'm still willing to give new frontrunner Manny Coto a chance because this was still clean-up duty of the wacky ending left from last year.

Regarding "Spoilers" - Posting about what has happened in this episode, or any past episode, is NOT a spoiler and doesn't require spoiler tags. Posting about anything that might be be only speculation about a furture episode is NOT a spoiler and requires no spoiler tags. Posting about anything in an upcoming episode of which you have insider knowledge IS a spoiler. No offense, TS, but a thread titled with the episode's air date is going to have open discussion about that episode. No way around it.

That said, I thought they tied it up well enough and I look forward to the rest of the season. To be honest, though, I have trepidations about
bringing aboard Brent Spiner. I think it is a sort of "cheap" way to garner ratings.

Understood, meant no offense by that...

On the director spilt part, that is a bit strange, it would been better, to have a familiar director on the set to finish the small 'arc', since that is the mandate now for these segments.

I just hope that with the current handling and 'repairs' done along the way, will not hopefully downplay the 'quality' that is 'trying' to be put back in.

Saying that, is a tall order.

ps: Hmmm, on that last statement, I will hold back on my judgement, until this secondary arc has passed, then I will let you, if you are correct or not.

I guess there are some situaitons where you might want more than one director for a two hour piece, but I can't think of what they'd be for a situation where the piece is merely split down the middle, time-wise.

I'll probably have a better feel for things after seeing it again on Sunday evening. I was also in the Mortality chatroom and didn't get to give the episode my full attention.

In this thread, which is obviously discussion about tonight's episode, I can't see any need for spoiler tags. In other threads, I'd keep the spoiler warnings at least until the show's over on the west coast (according UPN's "official" schedule).

Well given that they have 22 shows this season, lower budget, and err...(gag order from Paramount:eek: ), I hope this will not be a common occurence.
