Heart of Artifice Temporary--Kharas Alone

"I see. Does he know how to get here? If so, it seems imperative from your description that we find this conduit and stop him from making the publication."

"No he doesn't. He got his Thelanium from the Clank who was destroyed in one of the kid room. It is my group who bring him the destroyed clank for analysis, as it was our only lead to find the kids. As soon as I'll be back to my world, I'll try to convince him to not do teh publication." explains Kharas

"No, I don't think so. Let's get to work so we can find these kids if they are really here." Kharas take his tea and take a sip. "Well, after the tea."

OOC: Finish the tea with trivial discussion and we go for the search of the kids.

"Well, I'll get to work building the device, anyway. It could take a while. Until then, please feel free to enjoy the comforts of my city," the Baron suggests, "I could have someone show you some of the things that might interest you in my castle, if you like."

*They finish tea with trivial conversation, but then the Baron has other matters to which to attend, at least for the moment. If Kharas wants to leave, a servant will escort him out. If he wants to take a look at the castle, a servant will help with that as well.*

*A servant comes to lead Kharas on a quick tour of the Baron's facilities.*

"First here you'll see the Bestiary--this is where the Baron keeps the strange exotic creatures and animals he creates. It has a variable illusionary terrain effect that mimics the creatures' natural habitats so that they can live in comfort. Also, they will not attack you if you go inside to visit some. At any of these places, let me know and we'll go visit, unless there's someone in there who would be disturbed."

*The servant pauses to give him a chance to do so before moving on to the next area.*

"This is the Throne Room. The Baron often sits on the Great Throne when contemplating the most difficult designs. He also uses it for the visits of official dignitaries."

*The servant moves on.*

"This is the Baron's personal theatre. It has the capacity for numerous special effects that make it the second most-coveted place to perform after the Grand Duchess's huge Grand Amphitheatre in Esperal. When a group does perform, performance viewings are open to the entire public if they reserve a ticket in advance."

*The servant moves on.*

"This is the power room--the Baron sometimes works on ideas for alternate power supplies, but so far, one of the best he's found is to bind a Lightning Quasielemental into a generator. Each method works best for different tasks, however."

*The servant moves to the next place.*

"This stairway leads to the castle dungeons, but since there's pretty much never any crime, they aren't in use. Tales tell of a secret passage to the catacombs under the city where dark things and Unforged roam, but they're only rumours that parents tell to keep their children from running around after dark."

*The servant moves past to something more interesting.*

"This is an artwork gallery from some of the finest artists of Esperal. It symbolises the strength of our friendship with their nation. It was part of a gift exchange with Esperal when the Grand Duchess's son and heir was conceived as part of a baby shower."

*The servant moves to the next area.*

"This is the servant's quarters. Nothing much to see here, but just past..."

*The servant moves somewhat past the servant's quarters.*

"...You'll see the Workshop areas. First is the Baron's Workshop. This is where he starts building and tinkering with new things that catch his fancy. And just across the way, furnished in even grander decor and equipped with what are perhaps the best and safest facilities in the Four Nations, you'll find the Lady Elysia's Workshop. The Baron had the entire facility constructed for her as a surprise birthday gift when she developed the Spark. You might be incredulous that such a huge facility could remain a secret, but the Baron constructed a Cloaking Device so that his daughter would be none the wiser--great Sparks can build almost anything if they put their mind to it, and the Baron is the greatest of them all!"

*The servant moves on.*

"We're heading past the family's spacious personal apartments, but they won't want us looking around inside of their personal space, so let's instead go to the rooftop and see the bird's eye view of all the city."

*The servant takes Kharas up to the rooftop.*

"The breeze is nice up here, and you can see all the goings-on in the city below from here if you use the zooming device the Baron made, and even the whizzing cargo barges, drakeflyers, and other airships above. Hmm, what's that over there?"

*The servant takes a telescope-like object and looks at a much larger airship approaching in the far distance.*

"What an honour! The Leywytch Jadishtai's personal Floating Palace. Surely she had come to convey to the Baron and our people the blessings of the Artifex Maximus, blessed be the Holy One," the servant performs the devotion, "Anyway, that's basically most of the stuff to see here within the grounds. There is also a fairly nice garden, though it doesn't hold a candle to the one in Brillia. I can show it you before you leave if you like gardens?"

"You don't have Unforged where you come from? Oh, then you're very lucky! Does that mean that your body has no Ghost--no soul? Anyway, all of our people have a spirit, we call it a Ghost. There are two main sorts of Unforged--one of them is formed when a Ghost somehow loses its physical body but gains an insubstantial one--that's called a Free Radical Unforged. The other is formed when the body and Ghost both die, but tiny fragments of the Ghost refuse to detach from the unliving body, and so it rises again as an Unforged--that's called a Lingering Unforged. Thankfully, Unforged are extremely rare, except maybe in the Great Scrap Heap Below."

"Oh, we have ghosts, specters and many kind of undeads... maybe even too much kind, all more dangerous than the other. It seems you have your own too." Kharas continue the visit.

"A wonderful place. I would love to have a worshop like the Baron's one. My family doesn't own such workshop. Maybe the great house have some like that one. I wouldn't be surprise house Cannith's great forge was equiped like that... thinking of it now, the one I saw didn't seemed so well equipped."

As teh servant show teh floating castle. "Who is Leywytch Jadishtai?"
