Heart of Artifice Temporary--Kharas Alone

[Rystil Arden]

"Undead? I guess that's what you call Unforged."

"I do not know of this 'House Cannith', but supposedly, in all four kingdoms only the Great Celestial Workshop of Karpa-Revel in Heart of Artifice."

(OOC: The Baron already told him that last briefly, but--)

"The Leywytch Jadishtai is the hand of the Artifex Maximus, Sir Kharas."

 

[Velmont]

"Oh, yeah, I remember now... so many new think to learn that it's hard to keep all that in mind. How frequntly does he do that honor, to fly up here and visit the Baron?" asks Kharas.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"It is not very often, Sir Kharas. It is a rare and great honour."

 

[Velmont]

"Oh. I wonder if he could have heard about the kids... what could bring Leywytch Jadishtai here today? Do you have an idea?" asks Kharas. "Maybe it would be better for me to leave. I'll go pay my respect to teh Baronness before. Can you lead me to her."

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I do not know why the Leywytch has come today. Perhaps there is to be a festival soon? Or the Baron is to receive a commendation from the Holy One. Or she is looking for more Sparks to hire?"

"The Baroness will probably be in her chambers. I shall ask if she wishes to bid you farewell."

*The servant leads Kharas to the Baron and Baroness's chambers and knocks softly before entering, leaving Kharas outside for a short while. Then the servant returns.*

"She is available. Please come in."

*The servant leads Kharas through an incredibly opulent series of rooms filled with all sorts of artwork and lush decor. Baroness Zenobia is sitting in her private sitting room, a book on her lap. She moves it aside and motions for Kharas to take a seat.*

"Hello again Kharas. You wished to say farewell?" Zenobia asks.

 

[Velmont]

"Yes, I've learn that Leywytch Jadishtai is paying you a visit, and he do so rarely, so I suppose it is for important matter that doesn,t concern me, so I thought the best thing to do is to leave you to your business and I could came back tomorrow and see what the Baron had time to finish the device.

But I couldn't leave without giving you my best regards, that would have been impolite." tells Kharas.

 

[Rystil Arden]

"Ah yes. Actually while you were coming down here and finishing the tour, the airship has begun to dock, and the Leywytch Jadishtai is on her way here, to meet with my husband," Zenobia replies, "Why don't you stay here with me for a little while--the Leywytch might know about those missing children, and I'm sure my beloved will ask her, so you might have more news."

 

[Velmont]

"If you offer it, in that case, I'll wait with you. It would be an honor." tells Kharas. "I was wondering, while your daugther and your husband play with the workshop and create marvelous item, what do you do? I know many ladies favor arts, is it the case for you?"

 

[Rystil Arden]

"I like collecting art and enjoying it, but I'm no good at making it myself, especially compared to the exquisite talent of the Esperali artists. I enjoy reading and watching plays. Sometimes I do a bit of writing too. I also consider it my duty as a mother to help teach Elysia important lessons besides just building things. Also, I'll often go watch my beloved and my darling daughter as they work--I may not understand how to do it, but it's amazing to see my husband at his work, and it brings a tear to my eye to see my little Elysia taking after him so well."

 

[Velmont]

"Yes, I understand. Seeing kids becoming adult. My father was proud too, but one day, he gave me a few thinsg, some gold and told me to come back in five years... it's an habit in my family. My brothers had to do the same, my father did the same. Travels allow you to grow and mature faster, and also to learns thing you wouldn't learn if you stay home. I saw in my father's eye he was proud and sad to see me leaving home." tells Kharas.

"But that remind me, I hope Leywytch Jadishtai will have some information about the kids. Is there any special etiquette to respect around him?"
