SnorlLoska likes the idea of inflicting more pain on his enemies so he picks up the Assassin idol and starts to trace the rune. Without much pain, the rune appears in red on SnorLoska's forehead.
HA! This looks awesome! says SnorLoska as he admires his reflection in a puddle of water.

Sesto picks up the handful of green crystals that SnorLoska brought along. These looks like they can be useful. Does anyone else want a few? Sesto asked before he pockets them.
Hey, Loreen, that sword seems to suit you. Do you like it?

Pyrus looks to the others, "As much as Murder Through Another's Hands hurts, it should go to a front liner. Terrus, or the Barbarian. Being able to shrug off damage is no small thing."

OOC: I was going to say give it to Snorlaska, but resistances don't stack, so it wouldn't go well with Rage. We have it, it should be used. And a tank will get the most use. Fitz, what happens if the user can't see an ally? Could be as simple as casting Darkness on him so he can't see anyone.

Udit frowned. "Uh... that damage spread could be handy, or it could down an ally at a critical time. This is great if , uh, you're like a tyrant or something and you have, like, minions... but it's dangerous for us. Besides, it's an idol of, uh, an evil god. That doesn't end well"

Mord looks at Zander with a small smirk. "Evil is such a subjective term. I will not allow a power such as this to go un-utilized. You don't have to like it. But we need every bit of help that we can find at this point. We are nearly out of time and must hurry to accomplish our goals."

This said, Mord turns and begins preparations to ritually bond with 'Foe Rendered Harmless'.

Squirrels are evil!

Mord explains that the power of the Murder Through Another's Hands Idol can only be used when you can see your 'minions', as Udit rightly puts it. If you have no minions in sight, it fails to protect you.

Lorenn studies quickly Udit, keeping the blade in his hands.

"You want to play? Ok, let's play!" Lorenn walks to his bag at the back of the cave to fetch his dices. There, taking advantage of the noise made by all the identification rituals Mord is casting, fighters polishing their armors or people arguing for some loot share etc.. Lorenn casts Charm Person on Udit and returns to him.

"All thing considered, I do think it's an Elven blade, and... I've got Elven blood in my veins, you know. Here, take a look at my ears... Nope, don't touch, look, it's pointy. The blade must have some kind of hidden properties that reveal themselves only in the hand of an Elf, or someone having Elven blood.

And upon closer inspection I can see sigils engraved on the blade, do you know what a sigil is? No? It's a powerful inscription used in Magic and you must be a confirmed arcane user to use it safely. Trust me, I'm a wizard. The sigils means... Wait, do you read Elvish? No? I do. It says... "Song Blade of Light". I'm a Bladesinger, remember? And it's a Song Blade so...

Besides, the blade seems very old, I can tell. I don't think it can endure so much brutality I mean, the way you're fighting is a bit... you know... instinctive... feral! Yes, feral, like a tiger. It's a very nice and powerful technique, I'm sure of that! But maybe too much powerful. This kind of aged and decrepit piece of metal can really breaks badly, releasing his Elven magic to anyone holding it. I can't let that happen to you, my friend. And all those who have enough heart and love for you here will not let that happen. I know that for sure.

Also, your bow looks terrific. I saw you shooting with it once, you're so rapid! I couldn't believe my eyes. Those arrows were flying... like magic-missiles-guided-by-a-True-Strike-spell! Hitting their targets without missing a single shot and against all the odds. With this kind of weapon, enemies will fall like flies. I don't think the group may afford to lose such a good archer like you are. In fact, this point is critical to our mission. We need you Udit. And we need you at your best. The first rule for a fighter is truly: Be the best at what you do. Stay in your comfort zone, Udit.

And we didn't mention the safety point. How is your armor? Hmm, leather… If I were you, I'll stay away from those deadly close combats. A small mishap can happen very quickly in the chaos of battle. And after that, how will you bend your bow with a wounded arm? Hmm? Tell me Udit? You may stay crippled forever, or worse. I would never forgive myself if I don't do everything in my power to ensure that such thing will never happen to you. And I don't want to speak about post-traumatic stress disorder...

Finally, I think it might be... not dangerous... but, let's say, not appropriate or at least very disrespectful and maybe perilous to let a non-elvish guy, human on top of that
- no offence -, use a so rare and so precious piece of history of my people. I mean, if, by any chance, we end this deadly mission by meeting the true owner of this Song blade - which I hope we'll eventually do, so I will be able to restitute this Song blade to his Elf proprietor - he will be pleased to see it in the hand of a worthy representative of his own kin, don't you think, Udit? Yes, me too, I agree with you. It is for the best and for everyone.”

Charming smile.

wis save vs cheaty mcheatyface!: 1D20+1 = [10]+1 = 11

Udit frowned. The elf was making a lot of sense. Too much sense. His eyes narrowed... he couldn't quite fight it off, but ... well two could play this game

"It's a sword, not a, uh, museum piece. Play dice"

insight check dice battle: 1D20+1 = [11]+1 = 12

As Lorenn made his second dice throw, Udit's fingers moved slightly, and one of the dice went flying.

OOC: cast prestidigitation

"Let me pick that up for you - oh a 2, such a shame! Maybe uh, that's why the elves are doing so poorly, uh, bad luck and all that"

slight of hand check in dice game, second roll is advantage if deem ok by gm: 1D20+6 = [10]+6 = 16
1D20+6 = [4]+6 = 10

"Let me show you how it's done"

Udit tossed the dice, with his hand briefly covering the bones for but a moment

OOC: Cast minor image

Without even glancing at the dice, Udit looks at Lorenn "See? Perfect throw"

edit: the roll: deception check, second roll is advantage if GM grants it, for dice game: 1D20-1 = [12]-1 = 11
1D20-1 = [4]-1 = 3
