D&D 5E (IC) Vault of the Dracolich (Ensemble)

His task seemingly complete, Mord stands with the warrior statue in-hand, not really asking permission so much as expecting agreement. Then he speaks. "I would like to take the path we were following before. I think we can easily bypass their 'angry tree' and catch them from a new and unexpected angle."

He turns to Zalena. "When were you expected to return to the others? Will they have sent a search party to find you?"

OOC: maybe I haven't had my coffee yet, but I only see the stats for 3 of the 4 idols? is it me?

Udit frowned. He could have used that rapier too but... ah well, better to be in the back shooting arrows than gallivanting in the front getting murdered.

Instead he said "So, uh, those pedestals, where are they?"

Does reading the Ulvarenni book offer any useful information? Or any of the other artifacts for that matter? (Comprehend languages)

OOC: When did I say there was a book? (Looks) Oh, the rune-scribed tablet is what you mean.

The tablet is a plaque dedicated to the launch and commissioning of the Morning Glow Sky Ship. Builder's Info, Dates, Royalty Names, etc (All of which would require a history check to understand and don't really matter for the task at hand).

He turns to Zalena. "When were you expected to return to the others? Will they have sent a search party to find you?"

Zalena shrugs. "Depends on who is left alive. Not everyone cared about the work I was doing. History is not their stong suit, or they would less often repeat it."

OOC: You only have three out of the four idols to identify!

Ooc: doh! Where did I get the idea we had them all?

Zander finishes his maintenance of his equipment and starts about repacking his of gear. Even if he had a claim to the items the party was discussing he wouldn't have any part of them. He shivers thinking of a bloody rune dripping from his forehead.

"Weren't you looking into finding all these idols also Zalena?" he asks not sure if the odd information he gleamed from The Beast was correct or not. "You probably know exactly were the last one is or where you've hidden it yourself."

OOC: Deception 1d20+4 = 23
Zander using his Wisdom in figuring she's a wizard and they are powerful magic. She doesn't know what he knows, if anything. So he is trying to deceive her into giving up what she knows about the last idol. If she doesn't know anything she may be willing to give up who does, or what she has overheard.

Know its a long shot but the roll was sooooo good.

"No, I was looking for relics not idols, but I can see how the mistake could be made." she answers, her tone implying 'if you're an idiot', "Like I told these others, the idols were once stored in the dacolich's secure Treasure Vault. Not to be confused with his treasure pile, which is for showing off, or whatever he keeps in his Inner Vault. It's possible that the one you don't have is still there."

If someone helps her over, she will have a look at the map drawn on the muddy ground.
