Massachusetts game day July... And a Good Time Was Had by All

So, to try to organize things a bit - as I said there are four gamable spaces indoors (counting the xbox/Gamers room, so that may compete for time) plus outside if its nice. (mmmm.... Kahuna Burger GMs while floating like whale in kiddie pool....) And there are 7 rough gaming slots, 3 saterday and 4 sunday. So, folks who want to run games should indicate which time slots and how many people their game will accomadate. I will be leaving at least one spot open in each of my games for last minute additions, and won't be allowing character dibs before hand (all my games have pregenned characters.)

After thinking about it, I've decided to run one game in every major system I have (counting all d20 as one system). I'm going to run four games in four slots (2, 3, 6 and 7 since I will have BBQ or hosting duties during the others) and the games and systems will be : Missing Masters (D&D 3ed) 5-6 players, A Discworld Whodunnit (GURPS) 4-5 players, Bug Hunt with Soundtrack by Merle Travis (HERO) 5-6 players and The End of the World Timeshare (Fudge) 4-5 players. I'll hold off on which game goes in which slot until the end of today in case anyone who's going to be there just one day has a desperate desire to play in one of them.

Even if you aren't sure which games you will be running yet, folks who know how many games they would want to run and when should start filling in the slots so we can have something resembling a real schedule.

any more openings for your gaming day??? i am interested, even though i am from the North Shore I have an old college buddy down in attleboro...

At the moment there seem to be 17 folks definitly coming, counting hubby and myself and a couple of friends. I don't know how many of those are for only one day or the other. I'd say we can accomadate 20 to 25 folks easily, and more if its nice enough for some to sit on the deck, but not so 'nice' that there are battles over who gets to sit nearest to the AC. ;) So we're still good for more, but if some of those who have signed up are plannign to bring extras, please mention it so I can keep a rough count.

Ehem, folks who said they could run games? :p

So, three of my games were described in an earlier post, the final one "The End of the World Timeshare, will be run under the fast and loose rules of the Fudge system. Plot? Its The End Of The World As We Know It, and I-93 is closed for the democratic national convention. You've got a place to go but only if you can get up north with panic in the streets, looters in the stores and the worst traffic jam in human history. (not to mention that whole imminent death thing hanging over your heads.) The system is minimalist and will be easy to get into.

So, I'm going to start putting together a schedule in the next post, that I will fill in as people sign up to run games. This will be the signup page for my games.

1. Qualidar

Hmmm, both games you are running that I'm interested in you have in Saturday. I was planning on only attending on Sunday. Don't change things on my account, I'll wait and see what else might be running on Sunday and sign up for one of those.

BTW, I love the plotline for End of the World Timeshare, but I'm a little afriad it might be too close to home for some people ;)

well, you might recal me saying "I'll hold off on which game goes in which slot until the end of today in case anyone who's going to be there just one day has a desperate desire to play in one of them." not 5 posts up... :p :p :p Lacking such input I put the two games with the least requirements to entry on the likely less attended day. ;)

Sorry, T-storms kept me off the computer last night :heh:

Well in that case... ;)

If I can make it (still looking iffy for now), it would be only for Sunday, and of your games I would be most interested in Missing Masters or Discworld. So there.

Could I get a noon slot for Sunday. I'll run my Ravenloft game. Do you have a darkish/low light room I could use for ambiance?

I would be interested in a seat at the Discworld game, too.
