Honestly, I thought we were letting Pyrus burn the room with the undead to make a distraction so we could maybe distract the guards from the grate long enough to bust in.

Honestly, I thought we were letting Pyrus burn the room with the undead to make a distraction so we could maybe distract the guards from the grate long enough to bust in.

It was discussed as a possibility. A few things made that plan difficult:

1: Pyrus can't see into the room without opening the grate. (By which I mean, he can only target the spaces immediately around the grate, not because of the darkness but because of the angle.) He can do it if the grate's open, though.

2: The guards won't go into the store-room, even if it's on fire.

and most important:

3: River posted Kurzon's attempt to force the grate. So I went with it.

Pyrus can still torch the store-room if someone opens the store-room grate. Or he can come up and torch it through the portcullis.

I'm pretty sure you're gonna finish this fight pretty darn fast either way. Probably faster (real-time) this way.

OOC: I thought you talked about maybe turning the undead...

No worries. It make for a good narrative.
Turning undead is fun but if we can avoid the fight all together that's even better. Now, just hope the Veteran doesn't open the portcullis... **Shut ah-up! Don't give the DM any stupid ideas!!!**

OK, it's been more than 36 hrs since any posts have been made in either of River Gang and Infiltrators groups (even here!).
I think all players have posted in Infiltrators and we are waiting for the DM to summarise.
In the River Gang, I think we are waiting for Auraia, Pyrus and Drako to make a move.
I hope everybody is not too busy with other pbp games so that they can't play here. Come back!!!

Two things happened on my end: I was swamped at work, AND I thought I had done the Infiltrators and was waiting on you guys (but apparently I was wrong!).

FWIW in my favour, all the PBP games that I DM move faster than the ones that I play...

They know what they're doing... blocking Lorenn line of sight makes sens, simple survival reflex.
