Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

Who's OA was that?

Unless that was a shift, I should get an OA on the choker. If I can, I'll also spend an action to make an active Perception check and then hack around in the water with my axe trying to hit it. (If I have no other clues, I'll attack a random square that it could have shifted to.)

With the hag felled the cloaked figure looks around at the assembled adventurer's weighing his options, then shakes his head, gathering the shadows around him and moves away back towards the hut, but Ikni's blade again draws another slash across its calf.
Was that a hit? If so, Ikni regains 5 hp.

Creeper uses Dark Step and then runs around the hut (using stealth after it can't be seen) - 1d20 11=28 I don't think anyone has a 28 passive perception.
That would be Stealth 18, since you get -10 after running. Derien can uncover it automatically, but even so we should be able to hunt it down with active Perception checks (Minor Action). Rhole’s got his action point, encounter power, and a familiar to scout from the sky – this isn’t over.

No, I’m not just bloodthirsty. We could use a prisoner for the sake of information, to find out more about why the hag died needlessly for the ring, and potentially learn about traps in the hut.

Not to mention, that’s my team-healing piñata trying to escape with my Daily power![/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]Actually, Haruka did delay until after Derien on the previous turn, in order to gain Lance's benefit with Flames of Phlegethos (to great effect). So unless Derien dropped the Lady with his daily, Haruka got the killing blow. No embellishment necessary.[/sblock]

It was Ikni's she regains 5 hp and is at 24/31

Perception: No action required—either you notice something or you don’t. Your DM usually uses your passive Perception check result. If you want to use the skill actively, you need to take a standard action or spend 1 minute listening or searching, depending on the task.

Enemy has shifted then used their standard to move away. It is likely beyond your reach but feel free to pick a square from the last map update to attack.

Just an FYI Perception is a standard action to locate it. It will be double running on its turn and we can do a skill challenge to hunt it through the Feywild. Also, the enemy is more than 10 squares away so the DC is +2 so stealth is 20 (which Derien can still see)

Ikni, panting with effort, looks disinterestedly around for the foe, but makes no move to pursue it. Fleeing is effectively surrender, or so she figures.

She begins making her way to dry land, careful to keep her sword from the filthy muck.

Perception was thankfully updated (about 8 months ago, if I remember correctly), making it a Minor rather than a Standard Action:
D&D Rules Update said:
Page 186: In the Perception section of the shaded text, replace “standard action” with “minor action” in the third sentence.

Haruka, still on fire, makes as though to chase the escaping fey. An instant later she seems to reconsider this plan as she doubles over in pain. Her breath becomes panicky and uneven as she half-stumbles, half-crawls to solid ground, and upon reaching it she collapses and rolls over onto her back. She digs her fingers into the ground, which causes two effects to occur. First, her breathing begins to return to normal, and second, the flames on her start dying out as the vegetation in an ever-increasing radius around her smokes and chars, as though it were burning instead of her.

Thanks for the update Dunamin. It seemed to suck as a standard. As I mentioned the enemy will be double running on its turn so it's currently 12 squares to the south of it's last position on the map.

Heedless of their victory or possibly signifying it, Rhole keeps jamming his mournful song to its climatic conclusion – still using the Ring of the Fey Lord as a pick for playing on his hair-strings. He ends up down on his knees at the end of this feverish finale, a trend that his new friends quickly are becoming accustomed to.

Rhole opens his eyes. There’s an incinerated withered crone at his feet, another woman is sprawled out nearby and draining life from the ground, and a third one is coming back from the swamp as the emergence of a muddy statue.

“Hell yeah! That was massive! This show right here was one wicked jamfest! We’ll have to do something like that again!”

No biggie, there won’t be any pursuit without the whole party.

Just another performance for Rhole. Nothing special.[/sblock]
