Scotley's Tomb of Horrors 3.5

Ballista, HP48/48, AC 24/29vRanged(FF19/24vR-T15/20vR) F5 R13 W6

Ballista raises an eyebrow at the proposed marching order and promptly moves to the back of the order. "Well its obvious that Pelor is indeed a deity of peace. Why would we have a sorcerer in the lead? I can shoot around any number of our compatriots, and I can be a perfectly capable rear guard. In my military opinion we should set up something like:"

Logan Lightbringer, Cleric9, AC28,FF27T17,HP76/76, DR3/-, F+9,R+4,W+11

Logan bows to Ballista's superior tactical skills. "That is why I only claim to be our Healer and Spiritual Advisor!"

OOC: And it was surprisingly easy to get you to do the work for me us, Vertexx69! :p

Jillian Tealeaf, Rogue9, AC25,FF19,T17, HP37/37, F+4,R+13,W+5

A quick check reveals no traps and no sound comes from beyond the door.

Jillian tries the door to see if it is open. If it is she will open it. If it isn't she will try to pick the lock.

Jillian finds the door opens easily to reveal a 20' by 30' room. A grotesque, winged humanoid with a horned
head and stony hide lunges, its four arms each
tipped with wicked rocky claws. Around the creature’s
neck is a collar studded with huge, gleaming
gems.

OOC: Roll initiative. Go ahead and give me actions, the creature is charging toward Jillian intent on mayhem.

Garagos, AC 29 (T19, FF27), HP 107/107, DR 3/-, F +11,R+6,W+10

"Nightsky could also be a dark-blue or even yellow, meaning the stars." Garagos grumbles.
------

Garagos acts a bit to slow to be any big help in the first few combat seconds.

[sblock=ooc]
Initiative (1d20+2=7)

Will wait if I can shield any ravged combatants and casters from the gargoyle, using my undermountain tactis feat[/sblock]

Ballista, HP48/48, AC 24/29vRanged(FF19/24vR-T15/20vR) F5 R13 W6

Ballista's eyes get wide for a moment as the rogue just casually pushes open the door without even putting an ear to it first.

Initiative: (1d20+5=10)
[sblock=actions]She takes her 5ft step diagonally forward and up the left wall aand unleashes a blistering barrage of 5ft long ballista bolts toward the creature.

Full Attack (includes -2AC for charging monster): (29, 15, 15*)
(Maybe +1 more to hit/dmg if the critter close to within 30ft)

The first arrow finds its mark, but the next 2 sink solidly into the top of the doorframe she is shooting through.
Arrow dmg + cold dmg: (10, 1)
Fongul stays adjacent to Ballista, staying clear of the wild arrow shots careening down the corridor and glances up at his elven companion with a quizical look on his fuzzy black face.

* Adjust for Range feature of Woodland Archer feat

OOC-Why yes that is a result of 1, 1, 1, 2, 4, 5, 14 on 7 dice. I'd rather have no luck at all than have mine.[/sblock]

Grackle Granitetop, HP 67/57, AC 24, F+6, R+7, W+5

Grackle reluctantly returns to the group with Logan, but once they start smashing in the wall, he backs up to his usual 30 foot distance from the rear of the group.

He's slow to realize what's going on afterward until Jillan runs screaming back towards him. After a few moments of confused surprise, Grackle gibbers in worry and cringes, hoping the flying beastie leaves him alone. He stuffs the Admiral back into the relative safety of his magical backpack.

Initiative, flying humanoid heading for Jillian (1d20+4=7)

[sblock=ooc]Sundays and Mondays are busy for me, and this week it was just too busy for me to post anything. Not always the case, but this week it was.

Grackle backs up 5 feet further and casts Shield on himself. The weasel familiar goes back into the extradimensional space.

Active Effects: Mage Armor, False Life, Shield.
Spell Slots Remaining: 6/6 0-level, 5/7 1st-level, 7/7 2nd-level, 7/7 3rd-level, 5/5 4th-level.[/sblock]
