Jayla goes upstairs to sleep, but, like Yun, has trouble falling asleep. The walls seem to start closing in on her, and each one of her senses seem to be heightened due to fear. After what seems like ages, she gets up and slips out the window, onto the roof. There she sleeps.

The next morning, Jayla wakes up and binds a different set of totems, and then goes downstairs to get breakfast. She looks very different from last night. Her dark cloak is now bright red with streaks of orange, yellow and blue, and is smoking slightly. Her hands have transformed into claws, and she seems to have a transparent mask of what seems to be a chimera on her pushed up onto her forehead.

Jayla walks up to Maridosen, orders food, and then turns to the rest of the party, smiling slightly. Morning all. Sleep well?

[sblock=OOC]
What? Jayla's not one of the more reliable people? I feel so hurt:'(

I figured she should have claustrophobia, since she hasn't really been inside a small room since she was 9 years old.

Her current totems:
Hands: Kruthik Claws - 2 essentia - +8 competence bonus to Hide and Move Silently - Bound to the totem chakra(claws).
Brow: Yrthak Mask - 1 essentia - +6 competence bonus to Listen.
Waist: Wormtail Belt - 1 essentia - +3 Natural Armor.
Crown: Threefold Mask - Can't be flanked.
Shoulders: Mantle of Flame - 1 essentia - attackers take 2d6 fire damage everytime they hit with a non-reach weapon.(feat-gained)

Erik comes back from his morning prayers at the town's Chapel devoted to Saint Cuthbert.
True to his word he is ready to go at first light. He does a double-take when he sees Jayla's "new look" but visibly shakes it off. Youngsters and thier strange ways.

Serin enters the room, looks around to find his new acquaintences, and joins them for some grub to break the fast of the night. "Nice weather," he says with sarcasm, "I hate the rain." He looks at everyone and nods at them, to say hello without having to speak while eating. When everyone is finished he says "So what's the plan? Moathouse?" He then double checks his backpack belongings, gets ready to go, and then kicks back in a chair until it is time. He thinks to himself about Jayla, Dang that girl is crazy, how would she ever sneak around wearing all those colors?

Jayla nods at Serin's questions and ignores all the strange looks she's gathering. I'm thinking that we should elect a pseudo-leader as well, for when we can't leasurely discuss matters. Not for normally, but in the heat of battle, it would be our luck to start tripping over one another.

Jayla's question goes unanswered as you set out that morning. It continues to rain as you make way out of town, slowly turning to a light mist as you hit the main road and head East as per Olster's direction. The dirt road is lined with shrubs and the basic scenary expected for such an area. Your options? Sticking to the path laid out before you, or off roading. The choice is your's to take.

Serin breaks the silence with a reply to Jayla's question, "Do any of you want to be the so-called leader of our group? Jayla does have a point with that you know."

Vendan makes sure to stay behind and thank Vesta warmly for her hospitality. To Maridosen he nods as he walks out the door.

As they leave town, Vendan looks around to make sure there are no obvious places for spies to hide. Then he says,

"Well, if Erik's unspoken suspicions are correct, then the road would be the place for ambushers to lie in wait. And if cultists are in the moathouse, the road would also be where they'd likely have scouts or lookouts. So if you're paranoid, off-road would be the way to go."

"But what I want to do is take the road and stop to talk every now and then, while we talk the good spotters can look around discreetly to see if anyone's following us. Or better yet find a good place to hide and wait a while to see if anyone follows up on us from behind."

"As far as having a pseudo-leader, that idea might be helpful in the heat of battle, as you say. I'm for giving the idea a shot. If you guys want a leader, then let's vote on it. If not, that's ok too. Anyone opposed to a vote?"

"Aye! Anarchy breeds anarchy. A strong voice in the dark will be needed. In such times of darkness a Leader often steps up heeding a clarion call that only he can hear. A vote may indeed be a fair choice but when the time comes and Evil rears its Ugly Head, only one who is Resolute and willing to give his life for his fellow will prove his or herself a true leader. For it is the duty of the strong to defend the weak. Such is the way of things. I would hear a vote, and indeed stand by it. But no matter Man's Choice...Sometimes Fate...and the Gods have other things in mind." The tall priest then looks to the road, his grey-blue eyes narrow. "As for our way? Aye on the road there may lurk some fell souls seeking to waylay us. The way less traveled may indeed be the safest path. But none of us came her seeking the warm comfort of our Mother's Bosom. Both ways are sure to exhaust us, should our energies not best be spent making sure the road is safe for honest travelers?"

Yun brings his wagon to a stop. "Well, we are stopped now. I agree with the old man, we should continue on this course. Any who would waylay us obviously need to correct their values. I have manacles to restrain them until they can be given into the custody of the proper authorities. If we are to pick a leader it should be the one with the most experience."
