Thirst for power (Finished) (Knight Otu judging)

Round Five

Banion gathers arcane strength again and fires his newly found spell, blinding again almost everyone, and more importantly, the caster, who´s scratched by Banion´s thrown mindblade. He still has time for his dwarven friend, who´s actually losing not so much blood as he was before. The only not disabled thug briefly looks for a way to abandon the scene using the cart, but one horse is blinded too and it´d be foolish. He decides it´s better to gut the halflings first and charges Banion, who´s able to move out of the way quite easily.

[ooc: Beamer casts Glitterdust again, and is quite lucky blinding the mage and two other foes, as he´s unable to get everyone in range. With his move equivalent action he draws a CLW potion

Now that he mage is blinded, Banion is able to hit him with his mindblade, dealing pitiful damage (at least compared with the Str 20 greatsword wielding orc I had to DM last time)

To round things, Draig stabilizes.

The blinded foes wander around aimlessly. The only one not affected by the spell charges Banion and fails by much.

Party status: Beamer 13 damage, Banion 14 damage, Draig 23 damage

Banion’s spells: 0:5 1:2 2:1]

ooc: That's pretty much the story of Banion's life.... Also, I know you have two halfling characters with letter "B" names, but I'm getting highly confused. You've been refering to us both as Banion.

Banion steps back to avoid an attack of opportunity and makes another defensive throw. (1d20+6=25, 1d4+2=3) Crit confirm and possible extra damage (1d20+6=12, 1d4+2=6)

He hits the mage for either 3 or 9 damage, then manifests another mindblade.

(I know blinded characters can't take attacks of opportunity anyway, but Banion will still use his 5' step to get out of reach just in case.)

AC: 23; Touch AC 18

I kept saying that your names are too similar, but did you listen? :p[/sblock]

I suspect that a mischievous gremlin, or my evil twin, is editing my posts. I know perfectly well that Banion is the soulknife and Beamer the sorcerer; also I double check the posts, buy the error keeps appearing.

Round six

Banion’s opponent curses: his attacks fail once and again as the halfling dodges the shortswords with apparent ease, even when aiming for the enemy mage, a target as easy as the broad side of a barn. Banion throws the mindblade and it sinks in some kind of magic protective field, but deep enough to seriously wound him in the chest. The spellcaster screams, falls backwards and stays immobile, bleeding profusely but not dead yet.

Meanwhile Beamer is forcing the unconscious Draig drink a potion. Color returns to the dwarf´s cheeks, and his eyelids tremble…

[ooc: Banion crits, thanks to the penalty to AC for blinded opponents, and downs the mage into negatives.

Beamer makes Draig drink a potion of cure light wounds (I’ll let wmasters roll the die). If it´s enough to revive him, remember he´s prone.

Banion is attacked in melee twice by the guy that charged him the last round, but both attacks fail.

The blinded attackers scatter (at reduced speed)

Party status: Beamer 13 damage, Banion 14 damage, Draig 23-(1d8+1) damage

Banion’s spells: 0:5 1:2 2:1]

ooc: Is this guy wielding two weapons, or am I as badly outclassed as two attacks sounds?

Banion will full defend as a standard action, take a 5' step to draw his attacker a bit further away from Draig and Beamer, and charge up his mindblade.
