D&D 5E Dwimmermount [IC]

The rancher shakes his head sadly "Ack, by the cursed gods. That would be the Harthstones, young couple just moved into the place last year right after they gots married in town. Cursed goblinscum."

Shaking his head again he adds "Well I see if I can collect some additional coin from the other homesteaders, but iffin' ye can recover their heads as wells from these monsters I will get ye another bounty..."

Shara feels a tightness in her chest when Hiddell mentions that the victims were newlyweds. The young woman had died quickly enough, but her husband would've had to watch helplessly while he bled out. No one should die like that...least of all young lovers.

"I'm sorry," she says solemnly, speaking as much to the Harthstones as the rancher in front of her. "We will not let this happen to anyone else."

Hunter Brightwood

Hunter stood silently as Hiddel described what had been happening with the goblins, the situation was worse than he had thought, so much death.

“We will get justice for your friends, and we will try to get their heads." Hunter said quietly, "Such senseless violence.”

The old rancher nods but then shrugs his shoulder. "We can mourn their loses later. The dead can wait while we still gots the living to think about. Whats yer next step? If I had to guess where them scum are hold up during the day there are some caves down to the south of here. There are also a few old abandoned homesteads scattered to the north and west of us. That would be my best guess where they would go to ground. Not that them cutthroats needs to hide during the day. They an't cave goblinscum. Still they seem to likes doing their dirty work in the dark..."

Magen Brigward
Fighter 2

"I Agree, following their trail is the best option, we can get the lay of the land andcheck on the other homesteaders. We should hopefully come across one of their raiding bands too and hit them before they know they are being hunted."

Hiddell remounts his pony and says "Wells good luck to yea all. Most are only a few hours from here. Iffin' ye wants to camp here tonight yea probably only can check out two or so before ye will have to be a headin' back this way."

The company, bidding good day to the rancher and his herders head straight towards the wall of the Wintercap Mountains. The foothills of these mountains farther north look like small mountains themselves but that is some miles farther then the company is traveling.

There are also more and larger crops of thick trees the closer to the mountains you travel. The first that you have to travel around is about a hour after the rancher place. The trees and undergrowth are so thick that you would have to chop your way though. Its unlikely the goblins would have penetrated these woods without leaving a trace themselves.

Half an hour later you spot what appears to be a semi-ruined homestead on a nearby. There does not seem to be anyone about at least not out in the open...

GM: Everyone can make a Perception check if you want. How do you wish to advance? Also Secret roll: 2D20.HIGH(1)+6 = [5, 18]+6 = 24
