MnM3 Centropolis (Re-bot)

You have enough movement to crash through a window in the office that you are in and fly around the building but you glow so I think he will get a bonus on his Perception vs. you unless you can suppress it?

That's not what I asked. Not really anyway. I wanted to know if there was a second way around the office to get behind the three enemies who are incoming. I don't think The Princess would thing of crashing through the outer wall and then crashing back in. And I certainly doubt she could do that with stealth.

So if there is no existing way into the area the three enemies are coming from she probably flies out to meet Herculan. I'll add a new post saying as much.

Oh I'm sorry... you don't know the layout of the building. You can try, and I would make it an Investigation roll to make it within a Move Action (with your Flight).

This would like you try and sneak up behind them...

EDIT a thought... it will take a Standard action this round also to set up a Surprise for next round IF that is what you want to do. Unless you have Hide In Plain sight advantage.

No, see my post about what I finally decided.

EDIT: Reading more about Impervious vs penetrating, I see The Princess does actually have an effective attack against the bigger foes. Too bad she doesn't know that. :)

Hmm so this round you would be ok, but your Insubstatial is a move action correct? You can only 'move' before or after you act so you could only do this every other round. If you have the Move-By advantage you could move before and after you attack so long as don't exceed your movement.

Ah, right. Move action to shift, correct. So he would have shift back (Move) Attack (Action), and couldn't shift again. Gotcha. I had him shifting back, but ignore that part of my last post. I wouldn't think the Move By would work, though, since he's not actually moving.

Note for future info, if you miss your Toughness save by 2 Degree this means you are -1 to Future Toughness save (cumulative with other failed toughness saves) and Dazed meaning you can only take a Free plus one Standard or Move action. The Dazed affect lasts one round and then you are back to normal. If you fail by 3 degrees you are Staggered. This is a -1 to Future Toughness saves and a Persistent Dazed affect (it does not go away in the battle). If you suffer a second Staggered effect (fail a future toughness save by 3 degrees) you are knocked out (Incapacitated). They don't affect your future attacks or other saves.

But as noted above the Shadow did not suffer an injury this round.

Ah, okay. I think I got it. So he would have been -1 and Dazed. If he got hit again, but only 1 degree, he would be -2 and dazed, etc. Eventually those minuses will make it impossible to save.

Yes the Toughness save penalties are cumulative and are sort of the way to "wear down your foe". You could totally one-shot someone if they roll bad enough on their Toughness save (like a 1 or a 2 for most meta-opponents) but most battles are going to be getting your foes Toughness penalty down and then him/her failing (either outright with 4 degree failure on a Toughness save or getting Staggered and then suffering another Staggered injury).
