The director's comment pretty much confirms Page is playing a hero rather than a villain in any case. I dare say someone with take Page's comment about fighting imaginary dragons all day as confirmation of Dragonlance, because someone is always over-literal, especially if it supports what they want to believe.

So, looks like exteriors of Alnwick were used in...at least the first Harry Potter film? And some of the interiors were used a lot in Downton Abbey. Generally, the outside looks like a very rugged and sturdy castle, but the inside is very fancy. You have to scroll down quite a way in the Google image search results to get to one picture of the interior, so I guess the place gets used a lot for exterior filming and events.

I'm seeing rumours that they are currently filming at Alnwick* Castle. Home

Which would suggest they are really leaning into the medieval castle walls look.

*FYI pronounced "Annick".

That's the third castle they are known to have filmed/will film at. There's a tiny one outside of Bristol, that big religious center announced a few weeks ago, and now Alnwick.
