Wow, tiny hardcovers in a slipcase sounds like a massive rip off. Why on earth be so wasteful? Absolutely bizarre decision. Glad I'm sticking to digital but I'm sure they'll price digital at the same (likely extortionate) price as physical, in which case: hard pass.

Dragonlance as an adventure makes more sense than as a setting, at least.
So players just need one of the three books, the DM has the other two, with the monsters in a separate book to keep that page open to the monster while the other book is open to the adventure page you're on. Makes good sense to me. Much better than cramming it all in one book.

Art is subjective, but I've always found 5E's art of the highest quality.

But yes, I agree that even if a price hike was inevitable, these are huge price hikes. Really unjustifiable.
I miss the ability to recognize different artists and identifiable design elements for each world. Everything seems so generic now. It’s technically great but everything is so extra plus.

From both the monster description and the product page on the Wizards website, it seems that Wildspace and the Astral are separate things. It's not "explore the Astral Sea and its subregion Wildspace" but "explore the Astral Sea and Wildspace". They are apparently seperate, and in equal footing with each other.

And in any case, if Wildspace were part of the Astral, then the entire Material Plane would be part of the Astral (as each planet is within Wildspace, which would be within the Astral). That would be a bit messy to say the least.
This may just be because I've been reading "The Plane Above" again for a game I'm running - but from this announcement I suspect that they're going to go for a vibe that every campaign world is floating in the Astral Sea surrounded by Wildspace, and one way to get to the Astral is to float your ship out to the edge of that Wildspace and breach into the Astral.

That would mean that the Astral is taking the place of the phlogiston for traveling between worlds purposes. Whether or not crystal spheres are part of the mix is left to be seen (but given that nobody mentioned them, I suspect that there will be a sidebar about them if there's any mention of them at all).
