GM: | Sorry for the delay all. Been busy the past couple of days.
Petron brings his mighty axe down to cleave the fell creature in twain. The remains of the zombie thump to the floor and finally everyone can catch their breath.
GM: | You have time for a short rest. Everyone gains 100 XP.
As you take a moment to rest, you examine your surroundings. It seems you have stumbled into the catacombs beneath the temple that once stood above to the Raven Queen. The restless dead here have likely been buried for centuries or longer. You see much evidence of the ancient nature of this crypt. Cobwebs are strewn all about. A fine layer of dust covers the floor. The coffins once laid in the side ways of the crypt are rotted through. They pique your curiosity, and you find yourself wandering over to take a look at what remains.
It appears the undead monstrosities that attacked you were the exception to the rule. Most corpses lie quite still and lifeless here, placed upon rows of shelves once boarded up but now open as the wood has rotted, dried out, and fallen away. In any event, there appears to be little of value left. However, this assumption changes when you come to end of the chamber and discover a single stone sarcophagus standing upright before you. At the bottom is a plaque that is difficult to make out, but after blowing away the dust and examining it closely, you see an archaic script that reads, "Here lies Troken, hero of the Titan Mountains and friend of dwarves. Slain in battle against the terrible Remorhaz, his armor was all that was ever recovered." Surely this crypt contains the armor of some famed hero, and he certainly isn't using it anymore...
GM: | The sarcophagus stands at E15 for those who care where it lies on the map.
Aside from the sarcophagus and the many small crypt plots that lie within, you can find nothing else of interest here and are not certain how to proceed. There must be some means of progressing upwards into the Silver Mantle Company without merely smashing open the ceiling, but you will need to look carefully to find the way.
