Personally, that gave me vibes of "Green vs. Purple," the Drazi internal conflict. That's pretty poor. I know they were intentionally making it something trivial, to show that the whole schism was stupid, but still. That's really bad writing. They took a serious subject, and turned it into a joke. I was so pissed, I almost threw my Hot Pocket at the TV screen.
