I didn't mind the sex or the (security cat fight). I think the end statement by the dying alien is foreshadowing another alien race that we'll meet that is being used by the Xindi. Well, I hope that is what they were getting at.
Hey....you say that to a marine and a starship officer and see what happens to you...

LOL

And wait...what s-e-x, I didn't see the sheets moving, or the air humming with that natural funky sound.

LOL

You know, I was thinking that myself, and actually meant to post something similar, though I didn't make the "Xindi being controlled" connection until you mentioned it. In fact, what would be nice is if these mysterious "trans-dimensional" aliens were actually from the future or something, to tie in the previous storyline. But I'm not expecting too much.

Oh, and a giant meh over another direction change. Maybe if they worked on getting the things they're starting better (like a continuous storyline), the franchise wouldn't be so bad right now. But no, why would they think like that...

What was the last thing the alien said!?! I couldn't make it out dang nummit!

Was it "we were there"?

Crap, just couldn't hear it, and was pretty much the point of the whole episode. :(

Trek Changes Due?
Cinescape Online is reporting a rumor that an overhaul may be in the works for UPN's lackluster Star Trek: Enterprise. Citing an anonymous source, the site reported that Paramount Television Productions president Garry Hart may make changes to the show's production staff after February sweeps, including the possible replacement of longtime executive producer Rick Berman.
UPN recently announced that it was moving Enterprise to a later timeslot, 9 p.m. Wednesdays, from its current 8 p.m., starting in March.

You know, I've had plenty of patience for this show, but last night's episode- sheesh.

While I enjoy looking at Blalock as much as anyone, that whole scene was horrible, and it got appreciably worse with the mess hall scene afterwards.

The security rivalry was handled poorly. After that episode I'd like to see Malcom introduced to the outside of an airlock sans spacesuit.

Then of course we get the cheesy alien with Kitty Pride super-powers.

Well I guess this frees up another evening from TV watching.

I vote for masochism. :)

Seriously though, and please don't take this the wrong way, but why do you watch the show? I mean, far-fetched storylines, technobabble explanations, and spontaneous "characterization" (and I do use the term loosely) are the meat and potatoes of Star Trek. This is nothing new. Coherent plots and steady characterization are for other shows. Star Trek is simply the sci-fi equivalent of eye-candy.

I'll mostly agree with that (minus the masochism). :)

For some reason, this version of Star Trek is just not clicking with me.

Also, seems that this series has about the most "fit" crew of any Sci-Fi show I can recall, with the notable exception of that smiling fool in sickbay. Huh. The most out of shape member of the crew is the doctor. Imagine that! :D

And I might be so bold as to note a certain similarity between said doctor's "fitness" and a certain writer for Creative Mountain Games. :D Or perhaps this unnamed man IS the doctor in disguise! A-ha! The truth revealed at last.

Getting much sleep with that new baby around, Shadeus? :p

Enterprise - "Harbinger"

Feuding between Lt. Reed and MACO leader Maj. Hayes disrupts Archer and Phlox's investigation of a rescued alien; T'Pol confesses her feelings for Trip.

Missed last week's episode, both Wednesday and Sunday, due to some work related things. Not sure if I will manage tonight's viewing, or Sunday's, but here is the obligatory thread... ;)

All I can say about T'Pol is two words: Sweeps Month. Characters having sex is the #1 sweeps ploy.

The fight between Reed and Hayes was fun.

And it would seem these aliens that created the Expanse might not be very nice. Maybe they'll present some real threat to the Xindi?
