What was the last thing the alien said!?! I couldn't make it out dang nummit!

Was it "we were there"?

Crap, just couldn't hear it, and was pretty much the point of the whole episode. :(

Yah, I couldn't hear either, so I rewound the DVD and turned on the closed captioning. :D He says that after the Xindi blow up Earth, "we will prevail."

Ah, so that was it! I couldn't make it out either.

Well it was pretty dumb, but at the same time kind of fun. Definitely suggesting that the Xindi are being used, but then again that's not really a surprise to me. (The Xindi are told that the humans will destroy them, they decide to strike first. Of course, their premature attacck could be why the humans end up destroying them.)

A new direction would be kind of laughable, considering this season, but if they actually decided to start turfing senior people then maybe something better might come out of it. But I don't think Berman is the only one who should be replaced.

Well, I remember reading "Making of Deep Space Nine", and even if it seems a bit... biased and very positive towards the DS9 crew, I think Berman might even be the wrong person to go.
Brannon Braga wasn`t that important during DS9, IIRC, but he was important during Voyager ...

But I could be wrong...

To those who did not enjoy this episode, I'm sorry. That was one of the best wink-nod-wink Trek eps in recent memory. Some sly humor with 2 of the 3 plots (Malcom's fight & the Vulcan Luv Machine) which I thought was very well done. Kinda reminded me of the back and forth with Kirk, Spock and Bones only this time there was a female involved and some sexual friction. 2 of my favorite scenes were Trip/Malcolm in the mess hall and then Trip/T'pol. heheh

To all complaining about the use of the naked back of Blalock: get over it. Cole with no bra was more of a turn-on if you want to call it that. If you want an example of sexuality used for sweeps ratings look no further than Charisma Carpenter's clevage thru her whole appearance this season on Angel. T'pol and her catsuit can't come close to that. ;) Can't take a little sex with your Trek? C'mon, guys - it's been here since day one. It just changes with the times. I did not feel it was used as a ratings ploy as we didn't really get to see anything.

Okay, rant off.

But seriously, I really enjoyed (much more than I thought I would!) all 3 plotlines. The shifting alien dude seemed like a villain-o-the-week thing at first but turned into much more. Now, I didn't see any previews for this week so maybe some of what I liked was spoiled in the previews (which I am starting to not watch anymore as they give away too much). I knew all along (as per the story from the start) that there was something behind the Xindi attacking Earth. Obviously someone is behind it and we knew that it had something to do with the TCW. We didn't get any solid answers with this episode nor were we meant to. This is the show's way of reminding us that there is more to the current plotline than they have been showing us lately, which has been focusing on stopping the Xindi, not finding out why the Xindi believe Earth is a threat which we all know is the real way this will get solved.

Okay, second rant off. :)

Oh, and Archer going off the deep end? That is what I have been routing for all along...

Ah shanks man! I am truly envious of your instant DVD technology!

Well, this episode was kind of all over the place, but it did do one thing, it has me interested in what is going to happen next. I'm actually baffled as to what direction they are going to take, since the jump around so much. T.V. doesn't do a lot to surprise me much any more, so this could be quite enjoyable :)

You have no clue as to my objections to that scene. I didn't like it because it was utterly out of character. T'pol is still a Vulcan and impulsive sex is about as out of character as is possible. Then the attempted excuse later that it was just an experiment was pathetic.

Then there's the rivalry with the marines. OK, so it seems that Malcom is a complete idiot. Why he wasn't relieved of duty after this idiocy is beyond me. He was letting his personal perceptions interfere with his duty.

Then of course we have Kitty Pride, the alien. Woo hoo. Brilliant. At least they didn't even try to explain that nonsense with the usual techno babble.

Sure, enjoy the show. You will apparently find that you will be doing it in a more and more select club as time goes on.

You think it was impulsive, I didn't at all. It has been foreshadowed that T'pol likes Trip and vice versa. You can choose to ignore the obvious foreshadowing and not like it or simply not like it at all for other reason. That is your choice.

Vulcan's can certainly be impulsive, they are just able to repress it very well. It is a falsity to say that Vulcans have no emotions. They do but they hold them in check. They appear emotionless to most humans.

As for T'pol's "excuse," I didn't think she meant it fully. She digs the Tripster and humans in general. This has also been made painfully obvious.

Let's see... top-secret, really important mission to save your species and your senior security officers are pounding the crap out of each other. I would have done exactly what the captain did. Let them know that it won't be tolerated again and to work it out amongst themselves. Ya can't just chuck 'em in the brig...

So, I guess you won't be popping in on any more Enterprise threads? :)

Can people point to the foreshadowing? Seriously...I think I may have missed that. Other than the "Sim" episode, I can't remember any other foreshadowing. Of course with Trek, that may be enough.

Personally I don't care for the Tripp/T'Pol hook up, but to each their own.
