Epic Commoners and Their Lot

As if it isn't hard being a commoner, downtrodden and all, it also turns out that there is no Epic Commoner class (or any epic NPC class, for that matter). Yet here I am, trying to make a level 87 Commoner (I think I'll call him Commonus Maximus).
Anyone has any ideas how to pull this off? What's the closest I can get to making a level 87 commoner in the rules?

It will be an "Uncommon" commoner
You follow the bab and st progression of epic character, you can give him a bonus feat every 3 levels (or 2 levels).

I think I would give him incredible hide ranks. Perhaps hide in plain sight.

When you describe him to your pc's I think you should go on as so: You see a commoner, and boy does he look like the archetypical commoner to you. He is so common you have trouble distinguishing him from those around him. John the blacksmith, for instance, looks far more interesting to you than this commoner. You would so rather pay attention to John the blacksmith that you have forgotten all about the...

(ok, sorry... I had to. I'll shut up and go hide now.)

Others already answered this however I do have a question:

In the few years 3.0 has been around - how the heck does anyone get to 87th level anyway?

And, if I was a PC and I saw an 87th level commoner I would have to kill him outright based on principle alone! :)

It just ain't right!

are these commoners unaging? eternal youth kind of thing, pick up some stuff after 10k years of picking cotton, so to speak? But yeah, I would say just follow the standard epic progression.

also,why a lvl 87 commoner?!

Well the reason I want to make a level 87 commoner is to use him as the cohort of my level 100 bard, of course. :D
No, I didn't reach such astrological levels. It's part of a group effort to create a level 100 adventure (and playtest it), see here.

Hmm, so - no legal way to it, it seems. :(
I could make a new Epic class, but that's more house rules than we want.

That's a funny answer....but the question is still: "Why?"

Because his DM out lawed the 87th level Psion mouse, that's why :p

It is really funny Yair, I saw this on the main thread, thought I would check it out and give you the link, turns out you started it ;)

Hrm, IIRC, the ELH itself doesn't address the question of epic NPC classes at all, but that there was a FAQ ruling that specifically said you couldn't have more than 20 levels in an NPC class. I can't find such a FAQ ruling now though.
